The manager seemed sincere and I have no reason to doubt her. But, taken with a pinch of salt to see if it bares out.

 

Yeah, that's what was said about Soundwave and the tapes too, and it was said about Devy and Starscream. Either the employees don't know what they're talking about OR the system marks them that way for now because there are no more on order at HQ, but then they order more anyway.

Siege Jetfire was also listed that way, which is why he went on clearance after only being on the shelves about 3 months.

I’m in retail (lucky me) and when someone says a one time buy it means just that, one order, that order however could be multiple shipments to said stores. They start everyone with a little then, depending on sales is how they separate the remaining allotment of the one bigger order. If they didn’t do it this way you’d have buildings sitting on these high dollar and I assume high theft items that won’t sale or would only sale a little. Hope that helps.

Scored me an Astrotrain at Walmart Way Walmart in Midlothian. Grabbed the 9nly one on the shelf. There is also a Seige Crosshairs and several 35th anniversary seige figs (saw megs and soundblaster).

If astrotrain is 2 to a case, that explains why brickseek says "limited stock" and the Walmart website says "only one left". Walmarts website always shows one less of something than what they have so people won't bitch that the website says "they have one" when that one might be lost/misplaced/etc. Prime and Soundwave came in a case of 6 (for example) and the website and brickseek said stores got 5 in when those were showing up. I've also noticed it with other non-toy items over the last year or two.

And what the manager told neeral clearly wasn't 100% correct, as the next day mlgpappalouie found 2 at the Haymarket Walmart when the manager told Neeral they'd come in and been sold already.

Anywho: keep your pants on folks, all the other G1 reissues were eventually somewhat easy to get (either in store or online). There are 2 Walmarts near me that supposedly had stock, I'll be checking each today after I drop the kid off at Daycare. I want two for me but I'll post what I find so the other RVA folk will have an idea what's being stocked where

Roanoke / Clearbrook Walmart: 2 G1 Astrotrains on the shelf. Both have deep box cutter cuts on the side flaps. Both remain on the shelf as a result.

Singe and Rung at Gainesville Target. I bought one Singe and with that Siege is complete.

 

One of each of Singe, Rung, and Spinister at West Chester Target Wednesday. Also two Crosshairs as well. Nothing else special to note there than some more wave 3 Botbots. Got the duck yay.

When is Earthrise suppose to come out? Trying to figure out why the Powhatan Warlmart has barely any Transformers. All they had were a Car Dropkick, a Spinister, a Cog, and Cyberverse Grimlocks yesterday.

 

Spring, so roughly March, maybe mid-February if we are lucky

 

Hopefully sooner because the extremely low nmber of Transformers at the Powhatan Walmart is giving me a worried feeling for some reason.

 

Hasbro has an estimated release date of April 2 for earthrise, late February/early March will be the earliest anything starts showing up en mass
