what the anime bullshit was that lol
Yeah, imagine coming in expecting some sort of justice by witnessing the execution of the maniac that murdered your loved one just to see that curveball. It'd really make you question if the universe just hates you and your family.
On a less somber note...
For people too eager...

Sooo…Venom appearing in No Way Home too?
doubt it, but I'd like to offer a theory I heard. Venom will probably hunt Spider-Man because he believes Spider-Man to be a criminal. And because Venom wants to do good, he views Spider-Man as a threat to the people.
Spoiler: End credit scene
Venom mentions a hive across universes and seems to recognize Peter in a way. Sounds like they're going to bring in the Venom vs. Spidey by having Venom share memories with other incarnations of himself. Curious about which ones they'll choose if that holds up. Unlikely as it is, I would like a Spider-Man Unlimited reference.
Finished it, and damn, easily a better film than the first, and this is coming from someone who actually liked it. This film is really nice in how it tells its story without dragging on and also not cutting corners. The only problem I had was at the end, but besides that, an absolute blast.
Stay for the post credit scene.
Jahns has pretty much said everything I expected this movie to be. Glad to be skipping it in theaters.
Wow, this film was trash. All the best bits were in the previews, and Carnage was a train wreck with super-magic-symbiote powers
Tornado and Internet hacking powers?!? Also mass-shifting powers galore.
The writers didn't seem to "get" the character of Carnage very well. I've never liked Woody for Cletus, either. Too old.
They tried to make Cletus a quasi-misunderstood/sympathetic character with mommy/daddy/granny issues in one scene, and then a total crazy serial killer in another. Like we're supposed to forget the grave sites that they excavated in the first act. They also put him at odds with the symbiote. That was kind of what made comic Carnage unique - he like totally bonded with the symbiote. There was no real line between Cletus and Carnage - they were wholly Carnage from day one. Also, Carnage is more about random blood lust and killing sprees full of randos. This carnage was planning and revenging, and it was dumb. I was mostly just bored watching his scenes. Sometimes less is more.
Literally, the best part of the film was the mid-credits scene (no post-credits scene, fyi), and even that wasn't great. The good news is that you can watch the scene online and wait out the film until it's available to stream because the scene does not really spoil the film itself.
I did like Shriek more than Carnage.
I could have done without the young-love story between her and Cletus. I'm more partial to the Carnage impulsive joining/ad hoc family bond that he had with Shriek in Maximum Carnage. Granted, that's a lot harder to do when you don't have any of the kiddos available.
No matter since both Cletus and Carnage are dead. What a waste.
I keep saying
If there's any Number of different Spider-Men from the Multiverse to appear in NWH, I want it to be Christopher Daniel Barnes, Jake Johnson, and Shinji Todo. C.D.B. know Venom all too well. Much better than Tobey Maguire.
So this film is like out everywhere? Our cinemas says October 14.
It's out in the US today officially.
I'm not sure about other countries.
I always thought the symbiotes were like someone wearing an armor, but these movies seems to turn the wearer into shape shifters?
In the comics the symbiotes can shapeshift, they use it frequently to disguise themselves as normal people and create weapons.
I understand that their limbs can become weapons but the trailers made Carnage manipulate a hole in the middle of his body to avoid bullets where Cletus' body is supposed to be, and when Venom eats someone Eddie's head is right there.
The movie wasn't deep, but I thought it was a super fun time. I like the action scenes and jokes. I like it better than Shang-Chi TBH.
So what is up with the cop's eyes glowing blue there at the end?
Everyone is saying Venom jumped Multiverses due to Dr. Strange's spell, but wouldn't that come much later after the TV show in the end credits. Wouldn't it rather be tied to Loki breaking the time stream?
I kinda don't wan't to see Venom in No Way Home. I think it would be too much to fit in.
Shriek is a mutant? How is that gonna work in the X-men's MCU? was it a different universe?
Just got back from seeing it. It sucked ass. Mid credits scene is the only saving grace.
yeah this was not a great movie. it was fine, eddie and venom stole the show, but other than them it was generally a disjointed, awkwardly cut mess with no clear cut characters or motivations. carnage-casady was horribly mismanaged and felt like they were desperately trying to write a pseudo joker-type, anne and david were both... there, i guess, but anne's kind of a prick. shriek was there. "that is a red one," carnage being venom's symbiote offspring and really anything explaining carnage is just non-existent.
it felt like they had a 2 1/2 hour cut that absolutely fucking sucked so they cut it down to a 90 minute awkward-but-passable sequel.
The cop was the host of the Symbiote called Toxin in the comics. He’s a mix of Carnage and Venom, but idk how they’ll use that character going forward. The tease is definitely for Toxin, but his origin is definitely being changed like Venom and Carnage, so we’ll see.
