What's inherently disrespectful about immitating his voice to nod to his legacy with the franchise? The Kasem narration says nothing offensive. "Hello. Welcome to the Crystal Mines Mining Experience. I'm Casey Kasem, here to guide you through America's 40th most popular mine"
What I am stating is that you are reaching. Most of the characters are deplorable; and the best you can say is that her 2 moms aren't deplorable (just incompetent).
Lol!! Maybe everyone else, but I’m having fun with it. Anyway, just finished the two newest episodes & gotta agree with Edwardamus. These were the two strongest eps of the season so far. The plot moves forward on all 3 main mysteries (killer, Velma’s mom, Daphne’s parents) & we start to see just how intertwined the families of all the main characters are. And actually got more laughs out of these two episodes than the first 4 combined. The meta jokes are way less prevalent here too, thank god. It’s an improvement. Also, they got Weird Al to be in episode 5.
I keep wondering why Chris McCulloch doesn't just start a Patreon to fund a new season instead of waiting for CN/HBO. I am sure they could easily fund a season of 10 episodes or so. I would donate for sure. I mean, Anakama managed to get Season 4 of Wakfu funded this way - and I would wager Venture Bros is more well known worldwide than Wakfu. It's a shame they also removed the show. Times like this I am glad I have all the episodes saved. We cannot expect these streaming giants to care about preserving media. They remind me of BBC who just let most of Dr. Who be lost and forgotten after they stopped airing it. Btw you never replied to me after questioning what I said about DC shows being removed end of January, but hopefully you believe me now? What Dolza said wasn't about the new shows, it is about the old classics. Some not even that old. I shared the article above about how JL, JLU and many other DC shows are going to be removed from HBOMax end of the month after being there for only 2 years. Of course it could be they are trying another DC+(+?) streaming channel for DC shows and that is why they are removing these... But I doubt it when they cancelled the previous attempt for such a streaming channel and even (sadly) cancelled Swamp Thing that was running on there. I think putting a black girl as a stand-in for Scooby would get this show cancelled faster than you could say ZOINKS! Besides, we have WB saying the show is not allowed to use Scooby. I doubt they would be OK with a female version of him either. But yeah, Norville is the ultimate simp in this show, yet at the same time he can be quite devious when he wants attention. As others have said, nobody comes off clean in this show, every character is just terrible. And it says a lot about Mindy that she identifies with the most terrible of them all who is meant to represent her.
I have my doubts that they really care about being cancelled or would think about that when doing the dog brain implant. It's a trend with this show that they take something that nobody would like and think they've just done something brilliant. Whatever internet conversations they source for their jokes seem really random so it's not out of the realm of possibility that they didn't notice while smelling their own farts how it'd come across. I tend to take any statements like that one about not being able to use Scooby with a grain of salt unless there's a big fight over it in Hollywood. There's been a few times producers outright lied about things not being in their series so they could try to keep the element of surprise. If Scooby isn't here, it'll be a relief and it would make sense for them to want to keep him away, but I won't yet dismiss deceit on the producers' part.
LOL this is a good one. Who knew Shaggy was a super saiyan. Hmm, could be true. After all we are on a Transformers site, and we know Michael Bay pretty much lied about the plot of most of the movies after the first movie's script has leaked... Probably their twitter and facebook and youtube algorithms are tailored to filter out any negative stuff about their show, otherwise they would be already giving interviews left and right complaining about toxic fandoms, like the Ghostbusters 2016 people did.
You bring up a good point. I haven’t seen anyone from the show bash the fans yet. That’s kind of incredible in this day & age.
I just found out that Frank Welker is voicing Fred's dad. That man is the Malcolm McDowell of voice acting he says yes to everything
I mean I did notice the difference when I saw The Boo Brothers and Ghoul School but didn't put 2 and 2 together.
Funny, but I have to say the animation of the show is not really bad. If it serviced a better story, I'd even call it good. But yes, black magic was definitely involved in creating the show. Also, something better to watch than the show, Puss in Boots : The Last Wish. Give it time... It feels like it was with the SW prequels, where after the sequels came out, especially Last Jedi, we looked back and realized "hey, they were not THIS bad". Maybe someday people will look back on the live action Scooby Doo movies the same way too? Though to be honest, I always kinda liked them. Especially the second.
Halfway through the second episode all I have to say is dear God can somebody tell these writers that every second of the show does not need to be filled with a shockingly bad joke! Take a breather once in awhile and actually tell your story
From this fanart I’m expecting either Michael Ironside or Peter Weller to be voicing Batman here (IYKYK)
The Puss vs. Velma short is also based on a better cartoon compared to the latter: Jimmy Neutron (and spongebob).
One episode left to go and so far this show is so in conflict with itself that it goes so far as to try and be super-woke while at the same time taking perverse joy in sexualizing what are ostensibly minors.
One episode? But there’s 10 eps in the first season. Two more weeks of this stuff to go! God help me, I saw MovieBob’s review. Aside from not adding anything new to the conversation, he spent the first couple minutes complaining that he has to do a review of Velma, because it’s what’s trending and he had bills to pay & it’s all our fault. Amazing that he still has a show.
