Yeah it is. It was done by an animation program called Source Filmmaker which was made by Valve of Team Fortress 2 and Half Life fame which allows doing animations of both their own game models and other game models such as Multiversus here.
"Evangelion in the same vein as Velma" is not a sentence I ever expected to read. Tell that to Twitter.
It think it cast a pretty bad shade on him when in episode 2 he out loud thinks about how in shows when a girl needs something bad, the guy sells a treasured belonging to help her and also to "blackmail her into loving him"... and then proceeds to do that. That is quite a creepy thing to think and do about someone you are supposedly in love with. It reminded me especially of those two comics too, and not just because JLongbone reviewed both of them... But because not only do those authors too had a lot of baggage from their childhood that they want to vent in a comic about a completely different character, they apparently are so lacking in empathy, they cannot identify with a fictional character, unless they transform them to be an exact carbon copy of themselves... Same as Mindy Kaling did. HBO had Venture Bros? I thought CN had it, and more to the point wasn't the reason it took many years for a season of that show to be made that the creators wanted no extra sponsor - no kickstarters or patreons - and just wanted to do it all by themselves? I mean the creators are also most of the voice cast. I think I saw that movie. Wasn't it called Pacific Rim?
I think Fred would BLAM him before he got to "if it wasn't for you..." -"It was old techpriest Wilson all along!" Time will prove that right, indeed. Maybe this show is the alternate timeline showing that without a (quasi) talking dog, the Mystery Inc. would be a bunch of jerks who constantly argue and insult each other. Yeah, it's not the worst cartoon I have ever seen, for sure. There are far more horrible ones. But as far as adult cartoons go, it is there at the bottom. The creators made the same mistake Seth Rogan did with Santa Inc- they did no research and assumed only a few die hard fans would attack them (like with Thundercats Roar). They forgot that there is a reason the Scooby Doo franchise endures to this day - it has fans young and old everywhere, in all countries. Twitterati! I love that. I need to use that word in the future. I mean, since they on purpose only showed 6 of the 8 total episodes (or 8 of 10, I forget) to the paid shills, erm, reviewers, it could happen that this show was trying to pull a fast one on "toxic internet reviewer trolls" like She-Hulk did, and do something unexpected at the end. But so far, signs point to how if it walks like a duck, looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it is most assuredly a duck.
The show itself is pretty cringe inducing, but I do love how it drew out all the fan artists to do their own takes on the gang, from familiar designs to wildly different, all seemingly just to prove that "It's not that hard to do different takes and still make them recognizable." Or maybe just to show their love for the franchise. Either way, the one good thing Velma did was cause an influx of a lot of very good Scooby-Doo fan art.
Velma has a lower IMDB rating than Manos: The Hands of Fate. Velma (TV Series 2023– ) - IMDb Manos: The Hands of Fate (1966) - IMDb
Lol I was just joking. And no, I will never watch it without a riff track. I think I’d fall asleep. The last time I saw it, I did figure out what that movie’s problem is. Nothing happens. Lots of driving. Nothing happening. The family tries to escape the house, only to decide to go back- a good 5 or 10 minutes that resulted in no plot progression. The couple making out in the car that they keep cutting back to- pointless. The cops that hassle the kissing couple- decide to investigate the gunshots (or whatever sound it was) until the decide that it was nothing and go home. The brides of the Master perform this whole ritual that’s supposed to kill Torgo, but after finishing, he’s still alive and just runs off. Nothing happens!! It’s a bore fest!
