Yeah, I don't know why people think this is happening, we just have the one random internet image and no word since. Kinda feels like the FT KO images that pop up once in a while and are never heard from again.

Their alt modes don't look like toon or toy, it's an ugly hybrid with Lego like appearance. Only one that looks decent is Mixmaster.

 

looks like whomever conjured up this image just stretched out scrapper around the existing knee joint NA has, and just enlarged mixmaster. There's also plenty of poor editing on scrappers thigh and heels. I guess it could it be a concept, but until hear/see anything physical, I won't hold my breath. We definitely need an updated devestator though!

 

We do for the simple fact that the QC on any version post V1 is terrible.

 

That seems more like you just don’t like detailed figures. They are fine and represent the vehicles fine enough. They are just updated takes that are inspired by studio ox’s devestator.

It's like Zeta took the good QC and engineering with them when they left Toyworld.

Shame they couldn't take Constructor with them like they did a lot of their designs.

 

If you think those 2 vehicles look the same then I need what you are smoking. Just because they have 4 wheels and a scooper is not the same...and MP is not OX style.
It's like saying these are the same cars.

 

I went with the JinBao KO OS Gravity Builder just to have a Devastator on the shelf. It's fine, but doesn't really fit in with the rest of my collection very well. It is more stylized than what I'd prefer.

I'd love a more G1-esque MP Devastator. The cartoon has some funky details like Mixmaster's drum being a knee joint and other grossly distorted details. Not sure if the cartoon could ever be made into a real MP figure. At the same time I've had the toy for almost 40 years and want an MP that looks better. Right now that funky old cartoon is what I think of as a better looking Devastator.

Got no interest in Toyworld no matter what the QC issues are as I think it still looks a bit janky and unpolished for my shelf. We've got a couple Menasors and Defensors going as well as at least one 50cm Bruticus and Superion. FT will finish a couple more in the next 3 years. Time for an updated attempt at Devastator.

Yeah I don't know why people keep bringing up Constructor when its thread is filled with QC horror stories almost to a Locke V1 degree and when it has no aftersales support and no prospect of a QC-problem-free reissue.

 

Some people gotta die on the hill cause they spent $600.

 

I would for better bot modes to display but I'm seriously doubting this is a real thing.

 

We Definitely need a new Devastator, and hopefully, one that costs less with better QC. I just hope it is less goofy than the G1 proportioned and smooth newage one.
