That was my first thought too. The legs on cartoon Devastator are pretty far stylized compared Scrapper and Mixmaster's alt modes. Almost to the point of silliness. My own preferences would be that it's perfectly fine to have Scrapper/Mixmaster's tires visible, for example, no need to go this far.

But overall, I'm happy this is getting made. There are already a ton of "more realistic" 3PMP Devys out there, someone might as well go full tooncore for the people that want it.

Not a bad idea but that picture it's just edited, you can see some blurr and ghosting on the legs and the "new" pieces are enlarged bits of the original picture.

 

Do we really need another Devy? It's good if you are just getting into the game

 

Always interested in a new MP Devy and a clean toon version doubly so.
I’m not a huge fan of NA’s bot modes though. They look very skinny and awkward in Legends scale. I don’t think it’s a design that would work with just a simple upsizing. Major work would be needed. I suspect though that this is going to be a very toon based Devy and they just used NA as a stepping off point for their sample drawing.

This looks fake, but even if it was real,
Couldn't they have oversized Magic Square's? It's the better one of the 2 by miles.

 

Even the "better animated" The Movie still had those crazy stylized legs.

With the lack of any Toon-Authentic G1 MP Devastators on the market, I suppose I'll need to watch this thread to see what Vectron Lab is proposing.

I wonder what exactly they mean by "MP scale". Will it be big enough to face off with the current MP Omega Supremes?

Assuming the Newage Devastator was scaled up to Toyworld size, how big would that make the individual constructicons?

 

Looks good. Only problem i have is that his legs are way to long.
Lose the feet upgrades. Mixmaster has another piece under him. Scrapper got his arms longer and bigger shovel.
His knee is at the middle of mixmasters barel as shown in the third picture of comments.
Hopefully it is upscalled to go with mainline ( 35-40 cm ) or mp ( 50cm ).
I need him for both sizes. Since Fanstoys Devy will come in 2099.

 

I'm hoping that 3P has figured out that Toyworld set the height for MP Combiners and any new sets would be designed to match Zeta/Fanstoys/Dx9/X-Transbots. Yeah, there are the shorter MMC and TFC combiners that are advertised as MP scale, but they just don't do it for me personally. (But I did cheat and got a couple of the MMC Combaticons because they are far and away my favorite MP versions of Swindle/Fraudo, etc. for bot mode).

It's looking like a long wait for the next official TakaraTomy combiner if they're going to stretch Raiden out for 2 years. TW Constructor is a mess. I'm not sure if all the combiners need to be the exact same height as a couple of those bots have crazy shoulder details and pointy antennas which makes defining the "height" fairly controversial/confusing. As long as they're all looking one another in the eye give or take a centimeter or two then I'll be interested.

 

Pretty subjective. To me MS looks the most stylized, so if you want a toon Devy NA is better.
