I wanted a Megatron who was a little bigger, to stand up to my Laser Optimus Prime. Vector Megatron was made from a brown Vector Prime figure with some pieces missing. I reversed him, then added some plastic for his chest from
a GI Joe vehicle. Made his fusion cannon from Joe spring loaded missile launchers too.

Looks really cool, but I find it ironic considering the fact that Vector's head, which is based off of the Autobot symbol, is being used for Megs! :lol

I really like what you did here! I once considered this mold for a possible Galvatron, but it works so much better as Megatron. I think you did a great job and while I do see a few areas on the chest/ab sections that could use some light sanding or touch up, overall it looks great! My question is, does it transform? If so, into Vector Prime's orginal alt (sans wing panels) or into something else?

Keep up the great work! (I see this inspiring a few others to do the same--kudos!)

When Vector Prime was first revealed back when Galaxy Force was new, I thought that he WAS Megatron. There really is a strong resemblance, and this is a good take.

The overall concept and the paint look great! However, the chest area is a bit rough... an easy alternative might be to find an almost ready-made piece to go there, like chopping up a cheap toy gun. I did something similar a while back on a Megatron WIP for example...

I always felt that the Vector Prime mold screamed 'Megatron,' so this is a treat for me! :D

LOVE this. This is a great example of "having a good eye" and seeing potential in a figure that others missed.

    Just awesome!

A steampunk-ish Megs, awesome concept and you've done a great job with it. A sother people have asked, does he still transform at all?

That looks great! I love how well the mold works for Megatron. Vector's one handsome figure for sure. Like other's have said, the chest needs a little more finishing. Filling in the gaps with an epoxy putty and a good sanding can do wonders. Smog makes a good point about finding good donor parts. The secret to quality sculpting is to do as little of it as you possibly can.

I like those alt modes... besides the chest which needs a bit of work, this is an awesome piece of work. If you're gonna add more paint details I would see if you can scavenge more of the clockwork details of Vector Prime to work in...

I may be looking at my chopped up VP in a new light here...

I'd like to use that weapon for a custom Megatron I want to make. From which specific toy did you take it?
    Thanks for your reply

Hmmm.... It was a long time ago but I think I got it from some spring loaded launchers that came with GI Joe Rise of Cobra figures .... Glued two of them together
