It really depends on the exact figure you have, and even then the rarity of a particular figure in this range goes unnoticed by many collectors. For some reason they just aren't as desireable.

I wrote an article on this subject here:

I think the Wheeljack and Sunstreaker go for very decent money still, but nowhere near the value of a 1984/5 issue.

I would say among the hardest are UK gold box Astrotrain, Sideswipe, Springer and Octane in good condition. The Tracks is not easy in UK packaging. They are not to be confused with the Spanish ones with far less text and no "Classic" on the box.

I sold my MISB gold box UK prime for about £225 less than 6 months ago.

    Hope that helps.

    All the best

You need to do and Advanced Search in eBay and check the box for "completed listings". Look for auctions that actually closed with a bid.

While you're certainly correct on the best method to get an accurate "market value" on most items, they key for an advanced eBay search is that said item has to recently sold to get a good mean on what said item is worth. These Classics don't come around too much, and are a bit more complicated than just performing this search.

I'd certainly refer to Maz's post and writings above in regards to this topic.
