I hope this helps my fellow boardmembers.

My brother in law is a Walmart head store manager. I texted my sister to have her ask him if talking to the Toy Manager or Head Store Manager and asking them to place a Transformers order would help.

She got back to me. Here's her response:

"A Walmart store has 7 assistant managers. The assistant manager for the toy department is called the General Merchandise Manager.

The General Merchandise Manager is the boss of the Toy Department Manager.

The Walmart ordering system is automatic and is based on how many items get scanned at checkout before a product replenish is triggered.

The stores which haven't received Transformers in months and months probably have incorrect "on hand amounts" (the quantity of product a store has of a particular item) it is the Toy Department Manager's job to make sure the on hand amounts are correct. If the on hand amount is incorrect, the Toy department manager can manually place an order for more product.

The stores that aren't restocking probably have a crappy Toy Department Manager who isn't making sure on hand amounts are correct. Definitely go and talk to the General Merchandise Manager and they should be able to help you get the product you're looking for."

 

Toys r us is the same way, and i would bet this is how most large retail stores work. this is why I always tell people not to hide things in the store and don't steal stuff because that screws up the inventory system and the store will not receive a new shipment in.
