I'm all for some sci-fi, especially one from Luc Besson. I'm digging the scope and the tone of this.

I think it looks pretty cool. It's based off of a graphic novel from the 60's apparently. I've never heard of it, but I love old school sci-fi, and this looks like it has a fun and colorful world. The song choice works too.

I'm a little skeptical based on the sole fact that it reminds me of Jupiter Ascending a little. A visually engaging kind of film with bland characters. Hopefully this movie does not have those kind of characters.

Apparently this graphic novel was part of the influence for Star Wars.

I actually thought it might be a 5th Element spin off or sequel at first. Looks great - I'm in.

You actually know what the term means? Cause this is not hard sci-fi.

Yeah this looks fun! Been after something similar in tone for a while!

I'm sure he just means a film that's balls to the walls science fiction, not a film full of scientific accuracy.
Politely explain the term to him if you feel he isn't aware.

Sci-Fi/Action by Luc Besson with a hot chick is ALWAYS a win.

    I'm TOTALLY into it!

Looking forward to this one for sure.

    Yeah. Had same thought.

The music in the beginning made me think it was Queen- the opening of Fat Bottom Girls. But then it continued.

I wonder what this film is costing? Looks expensive. But Luc Besson + amped up 5th Element visuals... I'm in!

IIRC its costing under $200m, i'd imagine that there is allot less gouging going on in the French movie business then in Hollywood.

The dude that draws the original comics did a bunch of design work for The Fifth Element, so its not a coincidence or solely down to Besson that the two movies are along similar lines.

It looks very wonderful, like a mix of Guardians of the Galaxy, Men in Black and the 5th Element.

I've also been fortunate to see a few images of the classic sci-fi comic this film is based on (as well as an anime adaptation), and it looks fairly faithful and accurate to the comic.

The important thing as of now is whether the Green Goblin and the Enchantress will make a kickass couple with great chemistry.

Didn't know it was an actual term. I usually just equate it with science fiction that aggressively throws you into with little world building.

Judging by the tone of your post, you sound offended, so I'll change it.

Watched the trailer yesterday and damn!!! That looks amazing! Luc Besson can pull some great movies. I still not digging "Lucy" but the rest are cool. Will see how this turns out. So far, I have great hopes. :D

This movie is the epitome of soft Sci-fi.
