Another new item announcement: Keeping in line with the scale of our various Siege line kits, here is a new offering for Siege Ultra Magnus, the ODO Stretch Kit! Siege UM is AWESOME out of the box, but even without comparing him to our kitted out Siege bots, he just seemed really squat/stout to us. So while eating a plate of fish sticks and drinking mineral water during a Law & Order SVU episode, I sized him up and created this kit to stretch him out a bit, bringing his height to about 8.75 inches feet to antennae. The ODO kit consists of:

    Arm extensions
Torso extension (w/ removable red torso plate)
    Thigh boosters

Below are pics of the Final Production images of the kit (except truck mode pics, which show prototype torso extension). As we were envisioning, HE CAN STILL TRANSFORM (because I know that one was coming... =), and other functions, such as the blue bumper sliding on the spine railing, are still fully intact. The entire kit can stay on in every mode, making it a super convenient modification for any type of TF fan.
As always, customers can send us their detailing ideas to incorporate onto the kit upon order to fit their surface styling preferences. PM for more info!

Now that you mention it, yeah, the RID style cab does have that vibe... Truck, train, I'm happy with either. Lol

Wow, he looks a lot better with the extensions. I might have to get a set when my Magnus comes in.

Yeah, when I took him out of the box the first time, I immediately liked him, but after a while he just seemed too compacted, like a squashed Ultra Magnus. I'm digging him a lot more with the kit. =)

Could you please take some pictures of him without the torso extension with some of the other siege bots.

I love the longer legs. The original looked too stubby.

the arms might work better if you added some length to the forearms too, rather than all the added length being in the biceps. He looks kinda funky with such long, thin biceps.

Can't lengthen the forearms. The biceps can be shortened, but then the forearms will be floating in alt mode. It's a lesser of two evils situation, but I'm fine with the way it looks at the moment.

Ditto on the guy above. Is it possible to compare original figure without upgrade kit side by side?

I actually only have my one Ultra Magnus on hand, so I can't do a side by side... but you should be able to compare him to all of the stock Ultra Magnus photos out there and get an idea of the differences.

Regarding preferences like "I think that part is too long" and other feedback, I think folks keep forgetting that we can alter any of our designs based on the buyer's preference. =) We can make any of our stuff shorter, longer, wider, etc. as long as it doesn't significantly impact print time or isn't so detailed that it exceeds the resolution capabilities of our printers. We took this approach because if anyone has been a part of the TF community for a decently long time, it is obvious that opinions and tastes are all over the place, so trying to make a fixed, one-size-fits-all design that everyone will like is completely futile. Everything from the general dimensions to surface detailing can be changed for a buyer on the fly, and we see our small operation as being advantageous in that sense. I think the way to think about it is that whenever we post a new item, they are more or less a "baseline" just to show the general function of the parts, and after that, the customer can add their own spin on top. Granted, almost everyone that's ordered from us is just fine going with the base model look, but we've also had folks request alterations specific to their taste/preference.

So basically... if you buy one from us, we'll be happy to work with you and fit it to whatever aesthetic you want! We're all about options. =)

I have to admit, I'm really surprised how much I like the alt-mode with the extended waist section!

I think that with so many parts extended, he's starting to feel a little bit stretched out, but overall it's still pretty good.

It is possible to extend the forearms, but you'd need to have an alternate set of white fists. With some very minor alterations, the blue cuffs can just connect further down on the white under-arms. This will mean that the normal fists stay recessed, but with a new set of fists to plug into the wrists, it would work, I think.

Ahhh, you meant extend the forearm armor! Lol, I thought folks were asking to extend the actual white forearm section itself... Yeah the armor can definitely be extended with extra parts. =) Again, if anyone orders one and wants to add that kind of part on, we can work with them to do it.

Do you have any plans to make this kit for Galaxy Prime? I would love mine to be a bit taller. When or where can these parts be bought, don't see them listed on Shapeways

I prefer the abs section with circles. Idk how it attaches but if you could make it rotate for each mode that would be cool.
