A few weeks ago I thought I'd take a stab at designing and 3d printing some panels to fill some of the many gaping holes in the Unite Warrior Constructicons. I've never done anything like this, it was a lot of fun. I took inspiration from this thread: Heavy/Scratch: - UW Constructicons - Hand Fixes and Gap Fillers and only did the panels that would be able to stay for transformation. Hook's lower panels have to be removed though, unless I shave down one of the corners but for now I'm just leaving as is. They're not a perfect fit but close enough to look good on the shelf. The silver ones are done but I haven't been able to find a green to match the arms. If anyone has found a matching green paint please let me know! Thanks for looking! First I printed them out on paper for test fitting and to see how I liked the design: Anxiously awaiting their new parts: Scrapper's and Hook's are painted silver so they're done but I've got to find a green to match the arms! Anybody have any recommendations? I haven't been able to find anything yet. I also need to figure out what kind of filler to use as the 3d printer leaves some tiny holes.
Yep very well done. Always nice to see some extra sculpt detail, even in spots where there's only little margin.
Thanks! Yes, very fun, I'm constantly looking for things to make now. Thank you! Thanks. Not sure, I made these at work, you know, for training. I can't upload the files from there but if I can try to email them to myself. I might do a little tweaking though, get them to fit just a little bit better. Thanks! Yes they can all stay in place (I glued Scrapper's in, they were a little loose) all except the lower panel of Hook's leg. When you fold up the leg the corner of the new panel hits his hip so I'd have to cut that corner out, which I may end up doing, I'm just not sure how it'll look in robot mode. Thank you! That's an idea, hadn't thought of that. Thank you!
