*Flashback to G-Saviour* Sad thing is that it shouldn't be hard at ALL to make a Good Gundam film.....we'll see.

Never saw G-Savior, from what I've heard that's a good thing. Still that was a long time ago. I'm hopeful, as much as people rag on the Bayformer Movies, visually they look amazing. And with Humans, Space, and War being the major themes, the Story should be a lot more interesting.

G-saviour actually was no where near as bad as I'm sure you've heard, it in fact had (1) very cool scene. but it wasn't any good either......

Gundam's themes of war, loss of inocence, coming of age, ending war through mutual understanding, political conflicts, portraying of opponents in grey, no one's really bad, tones, evolution of mankind, et al, are way deeper and more mature than anything Bay (or even transformers has a whole) has ever done.... Gundam needs a director that knows how to tell a story about feelings, while still having good action. Gundam is not about big robots (they are not even robots) beating the crap out of each other. Though I fear that Hollywood will try to make it so....

Well...If everyone dies at the end at least it'll be both faithful and unable to get a sequel.

Dunno if "bought a domain name" and "Movie in the works" are synonymous. There have been plenty of unused domains of this type, just means they have an idea. We'll see if it gets fleshed out, Gundam popularity in the states has been waning since GW.

Yeah this could just be securing property domains. I'd recommend assuming nothing until an official announcement. Even then I would recommend assuming such a movie would suck truck sized balls.

Cautiously optimistic. As long as they look like Gundams and not just giant robots. I mean, really the gundam aesthetic is all the Gundam robots, as a whole, have to set them apart.

Conversely, if this does well, it could have a similar effect that Transformers did on its brand and experience a resurrection in the Western market, hopefully bringing along the model kits as well. Those things cost a crapton just to import, even considering the fact we have $19 deluxes in the Prime line.

G-Savior was not actually supported by Sunrise or the Gundam series creator (hence "G-Savior" instead of any mention of Gundams at all), but yeah it was something MST3K worthy.

Double Zeta and Victory are NOT combiners, unless you count the Duocons as combiners as well, since with Gundams you do not have two or more smaller robots combining into one larger robot, just the core block system.
