So I just read Windblade #2 and saw the terrorcons in it. Does anyone else think that we are going to get the upscaled Abominus under the generations line now? I hope it gets retooled a little if they put it out.

I'd be happy if they just upscaled Hun-Gurrr. That would be enough.

Well, that and being able to find him in a store. Those other upscaled Beast Hunters Deluxes never did come out.

 

Probably not. They only upscaled two of the terrorcons. If they had larger plans I would have thought they'd either upscaled them all or held back and release all five upscaled under the Generations Line.

 

I'd love new Generations Terrorcons, but not upscaled BH molds. I have a hard time as it is keeping my Target set together so I imagine a larger set would be just as bad. My other issue with the BH molds was for the center of Abominus, Hungrr was kind of scrawny. I think I would have liked to see him at least a Commander class instead of Legion class.

Wouldn't be surprised if Sinnertwin and Cutthroat get a few more reuses (Platinum Edition or "Year of the ___" would be my guess). Doubt they'd bother with the other three, especially since the existing ones don't have any way to combine.

Personally, I'd prefer repaints of the Legion-versions. I'd love to have a whole horde of those (granted I get multiple Abominuses out of it, and not just a dozen Rippersnappers).

 

This is mainly how I feel. As legends they are fun as all heck, upscale them and not so much. Hun-Grr is the only one that really needs an up scaled fig. Despite not getting mass release worldwide, Rot Gut showed there was potential for variations with simple paint changes.

In terms of a Gen release of the Terrorcons it's new updates or bust for me. It just seems like a failed opportunity if Hasbro/Takara decided to just re-use the BH Terrorcons and use them as G1 updates.

 

I'd rather see a third party give Hun-Gurr the same treatment FoC Onslaught got. Just a brand new toy of him that's one size class up and makes Abominus much better proportioned and articulated. Some real hands wouldn't hurt either.

I really love BH Abominus as a concept. And though extremely unlikely, I'd be all over a cyberverse Predaking or Monstructor or Piranhacon.

 

I wouldn't mind seeing the bh terrorcons as generations deluxes IF AND ONLY IF they add articulaation to them doesn't have to be rediculous amounts like ankle tilts and ab crunches. But elbows, knees, bicept and thigh swivels would be nice. Nd there's no reason not to since these points are also used for the beast modes, so a joint in one mode adds play value to the other. I'm impartial to the combined mode. So Hunn Gurr being a deluxe or voyager doesn't matter to me. And to those who say Abominus needs "proper" hands and feet. Take a good look at his name. He's supposed to be an Abomination. Hands made of claws and fangs suit him just fine

I'd rather have new mold Terrorcons, rather than trying to salvage the up-sized BH debacle.

 

So...Hasbro might as well just redesign the figures at that stage. Seriously, to what you would suggest would require all new molds, and if they are going to redo the molds, you might as well go balls out and make them more "Classic-ly"

I'm not adversed to more combiners, but I don't view this method (upscaling the Legion figures) with these designs (Prime rather than straight G1) as a practical solution.

 

I thought they were good designs and very respectable legends. I don't know about upsizing these exact molds though. I'd rather see new molds made that kept the rough design but improved on the articulation and combined mode proportions, maybe by making the Hun-Gurrr bigger at the expense of Windrazor and Twinstrike. You see this in Marvel Universe where one large mold like Hulk appears in a case with smaller figures with fewer parts, to balance out the production cost of the case as a whole.

As an aside, I'd very much like a legion or legends Windblade to have with Generations Metroplex. As a bonus she'd be in scale with the BH Terrorcons and kinda scale with the Targetmaster Waspinator.

I'd be fine with it.... if they added more joints. They're working from the CAD files rather than physically upscaling, so it's not out of the question to do so.

 

Upscale Hun-Grrr and retool his legs to get knee articulating and I'm good

This. Why would anyone want something from another line forcefed into Generations?
