Any chance of a more Lsotw accurate helmet like the quick switch replacement helmet? I really should have tried to disassemble him and get a good look at the neck joint before asking but I literally just got Overlord this morning.

If anyone is able to find a way to disassemble and remove the head without breaking the figure itself, I don't mind working on a new head/helm.
Both Black shadow and Overlord seem to have solid torsos that can't be taken apart.

I don't have my Overlord handy right now, but perhaps a happy medium might be a "top of the head" replacement? Mine's on my desk at work right now, but if the flip top for the TM is removable (I think it's pinned in?), maybe a "cap" with a more LSOTW accurate forehead crest and the big antennas? Fragility of the antennae and fitment with the nosecone might be an issue, though.

A new "skullcap" and maybe a "evil grin w/busted eye socket" TM faceplate should be enough to satisfy most people who didn't just up and buy Carnifex, IMO.

It's easy to remove the base of the head from the body, but the base and head is connected with rivet
I think making a new base is also necessary

Sorry, I have stuck the MMC head and the TR body together, it can't separate now

I haven't tried taking apart my Black Shadow figure yet, but assuming that Black Shadow and Overlord are similarly constructed, it looks like there's a couple screws holding the torso shell halves together, and by pulling the halves apart, the head can come out. Is this the case?

The head is the only thing keeping me from getting Hasbro's Overlord. Otherwise it's highly tempting for me to get Takara's just because I think the head resembles the IDW version of the character better.

I've toyed with designing an adapter to use Carnifex's head with TR Overlord, but I'd like to know more about how the figure comes apart before putting time into it.

EDIT: I see you have it documented here somewhat: Heavy/Scratch: - New head for TR OverLord

Any suggestions on painting for the shapeways parts to bring them more in-line with the semi-shine/off white of TR Overlord?

Sidenote: unpopular opinion maybe but I think HasbrOverlord nailed it more than TakarOverlord. HBO's (heh) face looks overall less doofy than Takara's take, and I'm not a fan of the fact that the "powermasters" are molded in. so I'm definitely happy with the Overlord I have, especially with these add-ons. :)

Sooo.....due to feedback that the Powermaster Backpacks for Titan Masters do not allow Overlord's chest covers to close properly, here's an updated option based on the Prime Armour plates from Power of the Primes figures.
Like the ones in POTP, these plates can be mounted on to any compatible Titan/Prime master slot, or be held via their 5mm pegs to be used as blaster accessories.

For those who did not get the powermaster backpacks to install onto your Titan Masters, maybe this could be a simpler, more reliable solution...?

Can someone show how far the chest does close with the backpacks on? Like an overhead view? Is it not possible to make them a little thinner so that way the chest does close? I don't get my OL until Christmas so I'm trying to decide which version to order and I like the backpacks more than the new version. So, i'm trying to figure out a way to make this work.

Can you make a set based on the Takara overlord/animation powermasters?

Were these removed from Shapeways (or never put up)? I cannot find them in your store. I'd really like to pick up a set.

Alas, unfortunately we ran into fitting problems with these. Similar to the 'hand blasters' filler pieces, they are never meant to fit anything other than the combiner hands that came with POTP deluxes. I've made changes to allow them to fit better on Overlord, but I'm not convinced about the concept yet.

Hey has there been any progress on refitting the powermaster plates?

That is weird. I actually took those hand plates and did exactly this with them (glued on engines) and they fit perfectly in overlord's chest.
