Hey there. Thanks for stopping in.

There were many parts of AOE that I really did like, to be fair.

HOWEVER....this new concept of an upgraded transformation for the human-created TFs was something I really detested.

So lazy. So....unbelievable? Yeah, I'll use that word. It was too much. Somehow lazy and uncreative....and also too much. Was it a budget cutter?

Really, I guess it COULD be ok, but then, we have the transformation carrying these cubes around like mini tornadoes, onto rooftops...I'm sorry but to me that is a huge fail. I wanted to see Galvatron transform, not morph into magic cubes then reassemble!

And yes, I know this is just my thoughts, and there's people who likely loved it, just sharing post-movie thoughts!

It was totally a budget move. Way cheaper to CGI materialization than actual transformations.

Hopefully Bay or the new director will hear our resentment towards the fake transformations and never make them return for the sequels.

I feel like this was Hasbro's way of promoting the Kreo toyline.

I was talking to my son about it and it didn't sit well with me either. I would hope it might just be because they are "fresh" and over time would end up with the normal transformation style.

It was really dumb, but I'm glad they at least kept it limited to the KSI Transformers as a way to further differentiate them from the real Cybertronians.

Wow, God forbid they add some exclusiveness to the opposing team of enemies. You know, mix it up and add something different to the movies that hasn't previously been seen.

Wait, nope. It's clearly a budget issue. I forgot we all work for the financial department at Paramount. Silly me.

I, personally, liked it. It was a good way of showing how 'unreal' these Cybertronians were. How fake they were. I almost imagine it as a sort of Uncanny Valley for the real Cybertronians.

It was something new that I had never seen before, and I really liked it for that. And yeah, I know the reason why it was never done before was to sell toys, but still. I thought it was really cool.

    As did I

I heard some bad things about those transformation, but I ended up liking them. The moment where Galvatron materializes and keeps driving on was really badass.

Oh well. Since Galvatron lived, we will continue seeing that transformation until he dies. Unless Unicron takes him and turns him into a real transformer.

yeah that transformation and the Yaegers wire walking are the only things I'm a little iffy on after one viewing. I think the transformation may grow on me not sure wire walking will

I think it came down to costs and time, to be honest. That is the bottom line. don't think it was to be creative or differentiate KSI from real transformers.

I fully expect if there is to be a Sequel this will not return and Galvatron will transform normally. I also think Galvatron/Megs will change his body and ditch the Argosy cab, make himself bigger/meaner.

Get rid of the wire scene totally agree. In DOTM my least favourite part is the whole cyber-worm, crumbling building sequence. Felt the same way for the wire scene.

It gets the job done, allowed for more various types of TFs, and reinforces the idea they aren't 'real'. Works for me. Makes them seem ghostly, ethereal.

If it's the cost of more robots that aren't just drone copies, I'm good with it.

The Movie transformations were always like that. They've just dropped the pretense of vehicle parts, I guess.

I always preferred mechanical transformations. You know, like the toys? I like the idea that if you got underneath a Transformer, you'd see robot kibble... I never liked the whole "Explode from car to make robot!" angle.
