chunky wheels for crosshairs have been done amazingly by a few people, but i wanted to take it a bit further and emphasize that fantastic ron cobb-esque cockpit design and differentiate the alt mode even more from ironhide. he's got his g1 leg boxes, and i am so happy with the bot mode silhouette with the wheels behind his shoulders! 3d print files are available for free on thingiverse - Upgrade Kit for Transformers Siege Crosshairs by jesslynmakesrobots
This is 1 REALLY awesome nice upgrade. Sadly,.... i just don't have a 3D printer so all i can do is just look at pics and dream.
This looks great! Although the way you dramatically shot the first photo now makes me wonder what this mold would look like with Landmaster tri-wheels (from Damnation Alley):
AWESOmE! I dig the cockpit and leg add ons. What is that background by the way? I noticed it another post too
This upgrade kit would make me buy this figure, great job! If it becomes available to purchase, I'll gladly buy a kit.
yes and no? the blue part pegs into the 5mm port on his back and uses that as the rotation joint. you dont have to pull it out completely to rotate it for bot mode, but its easier to just do that it's this gorgeous piece from deviantart! Dragon of Universe by Ellysiumn on DeviantArt i hear you all on this, but releasing the print files for free is the best i can do. i don't want to print and sell directly and deal with customer service, and i doubt anyone wants to pay international post from australia. there's shapeways, and ive considered putting everything on there for the accessibility, but the upfront cost of having to buy all of my own kits to test them first is a barrier
Please don't think I'm complaining to you. I'm not. It's more that 3D printing is still in its infancy, and so not really a "thing" for the general public. Even Shapeways is too expensive for me.
Another Aussie here on the Coffs Coast! Great I want. Must get me a 3D printer, Any particular one you’d recommend? I know Officeworks here sells some.
i use a pair of ender 3 pro's but they definitely need a lot of finessing to get quality prints. the new creality cr-6 SE looks like a fantastic machine
