Transformers Live Action Movie Blog: Tyrese Updates On RoTF Duet

UPDATE on Tyrese & Jewel Duet:

Linkin Park just released their single New Divide (finally out on iTunes for $1.29) for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen soundtrack. Tyrese Gibson has working on a duet with Jewel for the soundtrack. Tonight he has tweeted an update on the collaboration and posted a public voice message.

As for the voice message Tyrese provides a brief sample of "Make It Last" that is probably a pre-mixed version of the song. The track is not yet part of the soundtrack as he still has to present it to the album decision makers (including Bay). The rest of the message is not Transformers specific as he talks about being careful with information revealed to others and the choices people can make.

 

Guh. They're actually serious about this. Why?

This is one of the strangest pop music pairing I've ever seen.

weak rnb for a soundtrack. matches to the weak linkin park song too.

for the record, i like linkin park. i just think the new LP song, and now this, is weak.

but whatever. I hope that this isn't in the movie. I would rather the "You've got the *screams* Tooooooouuuuuuuuuchhhhhhh" in it after Linkin Parks song (Late credits) or maybe during the scene where *SPOILERS*







Sam is in the Matrix and talking to the Primes or when Prime fights the Fallen combined with Jetfire.

 

I can see this being in the film as an instrumental. The Touch, not so much.

jewel & tyresse bad comvinastino the song sucks i couldnt even hear jewel jewel alones is good but the botrh togeather it sounds like R&B or rap song jewel sings pop not r&B or rapthats not her style i perfer to hear the touch than this song on the soundtrack.

as much as i hate to say it if this song or the touch does make it on the cd ill get the 2 soundtracks anyway just for linkinpark same plan as i did the with the first soundtrack.

if anyone is just going to say just get it off of itunes dont waste your time i hate itunes, dont own ipod & dont want one i own pmp player itunes you accidently delete your music you need to puchase it all over again, & tehn if your not ipod user you need to buy m4p itunes converter program i have not yet to find itunes converter for free just free trials & demos only convert songs 50% through as much money person is spending on itunes plus m4p converter i could have the store bought cd for less the price on itunes plus itunes music converter alltogether.

so, is Bay and company really telling us that the movie is SOOOOOO good, they had to balance it out with a shitty soundtrack?

 

I Listened to that entire "Message" from Tyrese; He sounds like a cool dude despite of the subect he was covering (what the hell was all that for BTW?).

The song, "Make it Last" (sniggers @ the title), doesn't sound terrible, he certianly has more of a voice than I originally assumed (judging from the scratchy audio before he acapella's in the middle of the song), but I really don't think this is TRANSFORMERS material, at least in terms of the Various Artists Soundtrack. Its more for fitting for one of those typical Teen RomComs that come out all the time.
