Yeah, that's what I meant. Deluxe Sideways was not officially an Audi R8 but all the HA figures including Sideswipe have GM/Ford logos of some type.

Right. So this will make HA Mirage the first unlicensed HA figure. I don't know how I feel about that... The line's kind of the spiritual successor to Alternators, the whole point was to make hyper-accurate replicas of the cars in a large scale. Did Hasbro... CAVE TO THE FANS??!?!

HA Sideswipe was not changed. He is an exact replica of a Corvette Stingray. If he wasn't, he wouldn't need to be licensed and the packaging wouldn't carry the GM logo or the trademark statement.

 

well no, i was refering to the deluxe. as i recall they changed him to a convertable for tf3 because of matel had the rights to the coupe. Could be wrong on that one, but i recall hearing that from a few people.

Ehh, it's Thunderdome with the Deluxes, Hasbro can do whatever they want with those. I don't even own DOTM Sideswipe, he doesn't interest me. But wait... if Mattel now has the rights to the coupe, how has Hasbro been able to release that mold in the DOTM line? The Wal-Mart "NASCAR" exclusive, the Toys-R-Us "Scan Series" exclusive and the K-Mart "Flash Freeze Assault" set all use ROTF molds.
