    Y'all nuts. If it is a UFO, do you honestly think whomever's going down there to salvage it will own up to it being a UFO? They'll just publicly report they found nothing, while secretly squirreling the craft away to Area 51 or something. Meanwhile, some new article about the Kardashians or some celebrity sex tape will come out and the public will focus entirely on that, forgetting about the UFO entirely.

    Silicon doesn't solidify like that, and almost never appears as a pure crystal. It could be a silicon compound, but it's far more likely silicon compounds appear as normal rocks or sand.
