It’s unused? Man I wish this were an included feature

It bothers me that one of his pointy feet is above his orbital ring and one is blow it.

 

Not me. I want the best possible robot and planet mode. I don't want some weird city mode getting in the way and compromising the other two modes.

 

It looks like the last scene in The Fly where its asking to be put out of its misery.

 

Yeah, I don't know why anyone would want this. The city mode in the image doesn't even particularly look that good.

Unicron as a giant playset has a LOT of sense. He has almost no interation with the standard size bot, and a smaller robot with planet & playset mode is something i would like to see in a future (i Hope) masterpiece

 

His guts exploded & they tried to pass it off as an alt mode  

 

I think rather than a city mode for Unicron, it’s meant to represent when the Transformers are ‘inside’ him, like at the end of the movie. In that sense the weird ‘corridors’/structures make perfect sense, as you’d be inside his body almost.

 

But he's a planet...

Does this city just float in space? Like a planet?

It's a neat idea, but glad it was cut from the final figure. Focus on nailing the bot/alt modes and if fans want to try and make this work with that let them have fun experimenting.

 

I'm kinda sad this got cut myself - adds some neat play pattern elements. But I can see why; the weight of the toy probably necessitated making it as solid as possible.
