I recently was able to view some concept art of an Autobot called " Whirl", whose alt mode was a V-22 Osprey. The robot mode was extremely impressive, and the character, when compared to Blackout, would have been slighlty taller and wider.

If Hasbro hasn't made this figure, then perhaps a third party manufacturer will. Thoughts?

 

Are you sure you didn't just see Voyager class (Decepticon) Incinerator?

 

If only I could figure out a way to make the lower arms not suck as bad, and switch out the head. He'd be perfect as a Classics Highbrow.

 

Could it have been the concept art for the unused RotF Springer design?

Yeah, I don't think a Legends Class or Robot Heroes figure were quite what the OP was looking for.

Like Blackout, this dude would make a killer leader class figure! If a third party supplier doesnt do anything with the design, I may begin work on a custom. His design is just too awesome to leave behind as a drawing.

 

I don't think a 3rd party company would be able to put together something as complex as an original movie-style mold, but if you feel the need to develop something yourself, you have my full support as i'm a big fan of that design too  

 

Talk about throwing down the gauntlet...

 

I'd love to be proved wrong...  

 

Yeah, I'm already in the research phase for a custom mod of this guy. I'll post pics when I complete him.
