The Jaws extra thing has not been confirmed at all, but it's still an interesting mystery.

I mean, there are plenty of unsolved mysteries in the universe and Earth.

Where is Genghis Khan's tomb? It was a mystery less than a century after he died, and likely much sooner!

Did Meriwether Lewis commit suicide, or was he murdered?

Did the Siege of Masada end in a mass murder by the Romans or suicide by the Jews?

Where is the ancestral homeland of the Indo-European language family? What are the origins of the Basque language, which is unrelated to any other language?

Was the Aral Sea once part of a larger Aral Swamp in the republic of Uzshrekistan?

I believe Meriwether Lewis was murdered. Most reports of it indicate he was shot in the chest twice; which would be really odd for a suicide (especially at the time considering they primarily used single barrel flintlocks at the time). Plus, there’s enough reason to believe that there will people back then that wanted him dead if my memory of the mystery serves me right

One that I'd like to know personally:

Was the Sphinx originally Anubis? Evidence suggests that it may have been and that Khafre merely retooled it to bare his image. This would make the Sphinx older than originally thought.

I might lean toward that, but I still wouldn't consider it being, "Beyond any reasonable doubt." It still COULD have been suicide, given the questionable reliability of some witnesses and reports at the time claiming murder (although that has been the case throughout all of human existence), as well as considering some of Lewis's previous actions. There is no doubt he suffered multiple gun shot wounds, but I can see that going either way.

Careful, you'll piss someone off by "questioning historical fact" or some shit. Even though there are more and more historians and archaeologists thinking it might actually be the case.

"Egyptology" is an a example of what happens when you let politics and personalities dictate facts.

But then you have idiots on the other side like Ancient Alien morons who tarnish legitimate questions and emerging evidence with their crackpot theories.

The whole thing sucks for people that would actually like to learn more about it.

Almost every other area of historical studies allows the facts to change the narrative over time when more is learned. Not Egyptology. And Egypt itself doesn't let actually qualified persons in to study it further. Sucks.

Here's one happening as I type this.

Here in my country, a submarine went missing 3 days ago. It sent a few distress signals, then vanished off the radar. There's only enough oxygen left to last until 3:00 am local time today and currently it's 1:40. There's not much we can do but offer our thoughts and prayers. I can only hope to wake up to the sub and all 53 crew members found alive.

Reminds me of Tammy Lynn Leppert she was in Scarface. She just vanished at the age of 18. She freaked out during the shoot of one scene. She said she saw something that she shouldn't have and thought someone was going to kill her.

Regrettably, the deadline has passed to find the submarine and it's been declared subsunk. Debris and oil were found floating near where the submarine's wreckage was found by sonar - 850 meters below sea level. All 53 crew members are believed to be dead.

    Bless their souls.

How come people grow up seeing the dollar sign before the amount, but then write it after the amount on these boards?
