There was TV Magazine lucky draw Blue "Skylynx version" of Flame Convoy using the cybertron mold scourge released in 2005. I recently came across the a scourge mold with a paint scheme that is much more similar to Sky Lynx than the lucky draw. I posted pictures of the lucky draw and the figure I came across below. It could be a test shot or a cancelled release. Unfortunately, the item was lost in shipping, so this is the only picture of it that I have...

You don’t think it could be a high quality KO, do you? The guy who runs Sirtoys might have seen it before.

 

Lets hope a miracle happens. You may be getting a long lost piece of Transformers history.

If there is a KO I haven't found it. I managed to get the LD last year and it's missing a forearm cover. I searched for KOs and didn't find one. Interesting the box one has the belt is colored wrong. I'll see if I can find pics of the prize in a magazine, since it could just be a testshot or something. However the one in the box almost looks white verse silver, and I think in the magazine it was always silver.

Yeah, the belt and the dragon heads are different. I'm thinking KO, especially in light of the packaging being the way it is versus the white box the luck draw figures came in.

 

It's better quality than the ones I found in 2014.  



It does look KO though. Maybe before 2010.

 

At first I thought it might be a test shot but I don't think it would have the colors filled in that well to the actual Sky Lynx Flame Convoy. The brighter colors and the paler white plastic almost seem "unofficial reissue" esque but I'm not an expert. I wonder if @Nevermore would know something. He's pretty knowledgeable with variants and he has put out some interesting reads about variants from other lines.

 

No idea, sorry.

Update @DoubleClouder found a scan of the lucky draw showing it was originally planned to be white instead of grey.

The Lucky Draw I got came in a plain white Galaxy Force box, if I remember correctly? It did come with the standard Galaxy Force Flame Convoy paperwork and bio card, but the box was (I believe) plain white.

Seeing this mystery figure in an actual GF Flame Convoy box makes me think test shot or KO.

 

Pretty sure it's a prototype of the lucky draw.

Hmm, that box has a picture of the regular Flame Convoy deco. Takara don't usually use photos of a completely different coloured toy on their packaging.

 

The one in the image is a testshot. I've seen it before with other testshots/mock-ups. The actual lucky draw package was just an all white box. It's entirely possible someone put it in the box to display it that way, or it came that way as it was just used as a demonstration piece.
