Is there any word on what happened to the movie toys that never got released in the US, like Leadfoot, Soundwave, and Wheeljack? I found the latter two in Taiwan last year, but I was wondering if they would bring them to the US. Also, because Leadfoot made a brief appearance in AOE, I wonder if it's enough for him to get his toy. I mean, they already have his mold and prototypes and all that.

Nah, they'd still have to get a license to use the vehicle modes again, and I don't think they'd want to go to all the trouble for dead characters from an "old" movie.

They released a lot of "dead" characters in previous movie toylines, especially ROTF. I think DOTM also revived some characters, plus the 2010 line put out some other movie characters.

Transformers also isn't AS popular/big as it got immediately after the first movie and its sequel.

Which is the entire reason we didn't get those tail enders from DotM: sales weren't AS GOOD as retailers expected, so they had overstock which lasted from summer 2011 well into spring/summer of 2012.

Leadfoot would be especially problematic given his Target sponsorship (they backed out, so we only got the Human Alliance figure).

It IS worth remembering that Takara DID release ALL of those characters (and Soundwave just got a redeco for Takara's Lost Age line)

yeah, and it IS worth remembering that when takara released them, people were still under the assumption that hasbro would actually be able to get them out here in the states. .. they couldn't, and now those figures that takara released go for an astronomical amount on ebay compared to what US store prices would've been.

also.. this doesn't fall squarely on retailers.. this falls on hasbro releasing waves of repaints rather than these new molds.

look at the first wave of dotm human alliance.. it was a repaint of BUMBLEBEE AND SKIDS.. no wonder we never got soundwave, no one wants shit they already have only in a non movie paint scheme.

hasbro should've found some way to make this right.. put them up on their site.. something.

The last remnants of the DOTM wave were just shipped over in Asia, so we were just stuck with shelves chock full of MEchTech Bumblebee, and all those non-seen Skids and Mudflaps.

DOTM had a number of new vehicles that I was rarin' to get, but sadly, I only got the Wreckers in their 3 different sizes...and I was hoping they would have gone Human Alliance with them, or at the very least, redo the original 2007 Ratchet mode in his new paint job.

yeah they ROYALLY SCREWED the wreckers.. you get two of them in both deluxe and human alliance.. but one is armored, and one isn't in both classes.. it's bullshit. absolute bullshit.

I don't even particularly care about two being armored while one isn't. I just want a deluxe DotM Leadfoot without breaking the bank.

He's on ebay, asking price $250. TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS. For a DELUXE. It makes me sick.

    yeah.. that's ridiculous.

and i don't feel like spending $125-$200 for human alliance soundwave.

i still say that hasbro should release a line of all of the figures that they never got to us.. all of the dotm figures, rotf human alliance mudflap, TFP figures, and animated figures. .. oh and generations frenzy and rumble. it's unbelievable how much we've missed out on.

Considering the things that they've made available through the TFCC store, I would think that would be a great avenue to release the unreleased, if a better solution didn't present itself.

Same here! Though, I also wish I had been able to find Human Alliance Roadbuster and Leadfoot!
So does anybody think we may see Leadfoot released in the Age of Extinction line, with or without Target logos? I'm still holding to that hope...

hopefully they've learned to not backend lines with stuff that we want..

it seems like they're just shortening lines now rather than fixing their mistakes which is a bummer.. because now rather than new molds being made and them not releasing them.. they're just not making those new molds lol. it sucks.

If you saw TF4... you should know Hasbro could make soo many KSI Decepticons with old molds, and they'd work perfectly.

I want that Shockwave 2.0! :)  They should also make Generations Trax Vehicons and Junkheap as well.

    ~AOE SPOILERS~

The odd thing is if the KSI bots are taking forms used from Galvatrons memories while he controls them, which seemed to be the case, it actually made sense some of the Veichons/KSI Decepticons would look like his previous minions.. but with upgrades thanks to being able to shift form at will.. hence why I saw two Shockwave 2.0's, each with two heads.

It just makes too much sense not to go crazy with remolds for KSI Decepticons in the AOE line, it also fits the canon of the AOE story nicely.. for once.
If I was in charge at Hasbro I'd take the unreleased Sounwave and Que molds and give them new decos and heads and start selling KSI Decepticons, primed for collectors to start army building.
I suddenly wish I kept my DOTM Darksteel, b/c he fits well with these new KSI Decepticons.

AOE is a film that makes it fun and canon for the toyline to make an army of Decepticon repaints and remolds.

At this point only hope for those figs getting a release lay in the hands of Takara. They just released Soundblaster in their preview line hopefully they do something with the other molds. So that just leaves what a wider release of Que, Leadfoot(likely not happening due to the Target issue), Soundwave(deluxe and HA) and that Que remold/repaint.

I'd be fine if they just released Leadfoot without the Target logos. Let Reprolabels handle that aspect.

please not TFCC. i don't want to give funpub any money and especially not for a membership i don't want.

they have HTS, an entire website for selling their toys online for retail price. just put them there. hell, release them as TRU or platinum crap even.
