I just got Core Arcee. Not terrible, but not that good. Energon Arcee did it better.

Canceled my order for SS Cheetor, and I don't think I'll be getting much of anything from the line.

Used to be an "all in" movie-line collector, but slowed down drastically after AoE.
TLK had very little I was interested in.
Bumblebee was much better and I got a few from that line.
RotB is just not shaping up to be fun. Mainline Cheetor and Airrazor look better than the ones that are supposed to be higher end, and the SS Jaz...er...Mirage looks awful in bot mode. I have little to no faith that any others will interest me.
Allows me to save money for the releases I truly want, which is the Legacy, SS86 and Evolution G1 stuff.

To add to this, I have absolutely no interest in the rumored Armada Prime, or really anything from the Unicron Trilogy. I know many are excited, so more power to them. For me now, if it isn't G1 or Beast Wars, then it's a pass.

I don't like the relatively new (afaik) design trick to have wings wrap around themselves to form legs or to fold up in any other way.
Sometimes it's not that obvious in alt mode. Sometimes it just looks bad.
It just irks me for some reason. I'll probably get over it in time.

Well it has been around since at least 2016 as that is when TR Mindwipe was released, so definitely not new.

Energon Divebomb was another one where the wings formed the legs.

What is this mental gymnastics? cope? The guy who has seen it has it in hand, owns it. tells us to get fucked and just enjoy his doodles because you know its fine to buy stolen merchandise but not fine to pull the rug from under hasbro's reveal. quite the moral quandary

It seems to have a lower density. I'm not saying it's cheap or hollow, but that the plastic has less mass per volume and responds differently to contact. I myself don't find it unpleasant, but I certainly see what you're talking about.

While I dislike the RotB/BBM Optimus designs the upcoming voyager mainline release to me seems to be the best G1 Optimus toy since Classics. I think Siege probably does beat it for the sole reason that the mainline one doesn’t have the best paint job. But I love it as a stylized G1 version.

I liked the Mainline one until the size comparisons. I definitely don't need yet another undersized Prime on the shelf.

Fair fair. I don’t mind it. It’s not huge but not tiny. I may get it at some point if the price isn’t too crazy. If it’s $40+ I’ll wait til a (hopeful) sale.

I don't have much hope for it, but if the SS version improves on the already excellent SS38, then I'll get that one.

Yeah for me I really dislike the SS38 and doubt that I’ll like the likely retool any more than it. I like the mainline one precisely because it doesn’t feel like a movieverse Prime lol.

I never realized that Pointblank was considered a bad figure to begin with

I'd say most people consider it a figure very heavily compromised by Hasbro's budget restrictions. Including the designer, judging by the pictures he chose to share on his 'behind the scenes' look...
