Earthrise Arcee is one of the best WFC figures ever made.

And just a few years ago we didn't have the technology that we have today that reduces errors and such, and reduces the number of test plates/molds and such that reduces costs greatly.

They didn't go broke then, the KOs are profitable and the decent/comparable quality of dollar stores items, including toys prove that the huffing and puffing about mold cost is darn close to a fallacious point.

And the example of the Titans... that's for how many figures? The whole line ? Or are you talking about the large figures? If the large figures then there's no way that those are for a single mold 'cause that sort of math doesn't add up. Such an amount would most certainly be for multiple sets of plates/molds, and include the development phase and more as they might be large figures, but the part count isn't that high, and they also recycled/reused as many parts as possible indicating multiple platters/molds.

Note that they tend to share the platters/molds with either multiple figures or even other items, whatever is the cheapest way to do it. On top of that, they also do molds that can be used only in parts, which means that they could have done a small mold for the hands should they had not the spacing on the main new parts mold.

You have 3rd parties that are doing excellent molds/figures and aren't using "molds too expensive" as an excuse.

All this to say that there is a cost effective way to do anything, and if to produce a better figure some additional costs arise, they should be expected. To reuse a mold that offers a completely "wrong" aspect to a part for a 70$ figure is just being cheap, especially for such an "iconic" figure that they absolutely knew would sell well due to the fandom (which are tripping themselves over it).

Unpopular opinion? how about this repeated one: Habro should stop doing half-asses things to just make more profit at the cost of making figures that could be so much better for a few more pennies per figure, and I'll never understand why people defend these cheap practices of Hasbro.

If we can get figures on par with SS Hot Rod, I don't mind them doing more deluxe-sized figures at voyager prices.

Oh boy, this one's gonna be a doozy:
I don't like the Dinobots at all. I have no idea why, maybe it's the stupid caveman voices they had in G1, maybe it's Grimlock's doofy and now inaccurate T-Rex mode, maybe it's because they look too similar to me to justify buying toys of them? I don't know. I love dinosaurs and most dinosaur Transformers, but for some reason, the Dinobots are just too goofy for me. Which is so odd, because I love idiots like Weirdwolf and Squeezeplay.

Is it just G1 Dinobots? Did, say, the FoC designs do anything for you or is it that group as a whole?

Sorry, should've clarified. It's mostly the G1 Dinobots, I will say the FOC designs and characters were cooler to me.

I think the R.E.D figures are only ok. They don't look like they're $20 worth of ok. Maybe $12-$15.

I really dont mind kibble as long as its not loose. If the kibble snaps in place and doesnt dangle then im ok with it.

I'm not into the Dinobots, period, but that won't stop me from recognizing a good figure. Grimlock in particular is no different from any other show-stealing character like Sesame Street's Elmo and now you have incarnations of Grimlock where he's made out to be a bigger deal than he really should be-- it would be like you have the iconic Cobra exec trio of Cobra Commander, Destro, and the Baroness, and then you try to shove in Major Blood among them and suddenly it's Blood that feels tacked-on.

I second this, Arcee is a great figure. She has pretty decent articulation and looks beautiful.

Would've been nice if the Siege Weaponizers were Legends Class and more compatible with their respective Titans...

I think the Earthrise Thrust and Sandstorm are the best seekers to date

I generally don't like the coneheads' cone heads, so I am completely baffled as to why I find myself liking the ER conehead decos so much better than the standard ER seeker decos.

Oh you mean price wise, not in relation to how characters scale to each other fiction wise?
