Just about every Targetmaster weapon design is awkward and clumsy and looks terrible.

Portable weaponry - guns, rifles, swords etc - makes less sense than built-in weapons, given that they can be lost, dropped, and generally can't be retracted behind shielding.

Humanoid modes are inefficient and have a lot of deficiencies. There's no reason a Transformer couldn't be a floating ball of arms. Or just a floating subspace gate behind a shield; far less volume and critical systems which could be hit in battle, far more storage for weapons and devices. Of course, then it wouldn't look cool to humans...

 

Where you there when he came out?

 

Titans return Blitzwing sucks. The Jet and Tank modes are solid and the transformation is decent, but the robot mode is an ugly and floppy mess. And don't even get me started on those god damn stickers.

 

I think people hate the parts forming aspect of the backpack. Haven’t heard complaints about the size often.

 

I don't like the Beast Wars designs, and I wish Kingdom had done Beast Wars where the animal modes were robotic like the G1 Predacons

 

Wrong Cliffjumper, I believe. they're talking about the Studio Series version, where the backpack hangs out quite a bit. Are you referring to the Earthrise one?

Having just watched a video review, Kingdom Blackarachnia is the worst toy they've made for the WFC main toy line with Dinobot shortly behind. My reasoning here? It's simple with Blackarachnia: it can't even move its leg forward any more than what would be for a slow paced walk. Just about every other Transformer can kick their legs far more than this toy and it drastically lowers Blackarachnia's posability that the range is so limited. Dinobot is also simple: its dinosaur mode is awkward and gappy with very strange decisions done with regard to the hands.

It's really strange too. Just mold Blackarachnia's hip piece to have more of a cut to facilitate leg movement and mold Dinobot's dino hands to not have its fingers pointed flat down and his robot thighs to have some dino skin. How this got past anybody at Hasbro feels like a huge oversight when alt and bot modes have been near 100% top notch until now.

Between Jazz, Starscream, and Ratchet and 3rd parties, the MPM line has been a lot more interesting than the main MP line. I'm really hoping Sideswipe, Mirage and BB Optimus come up soon

Strongly agree. I haven't been interested in the main MP line since they started going to such ridiculous lengths to achieve excessive levels of cartoon accuracy, and the regular Studio Series line just can't do the live action designs justice with the simpler engineering and paint apps. I hope a ROTF Sideswipe (not DOTM, never liked the convertible look for him) is next.

Probably not unpopular- I don't like seemingly half of a toyline being exclusive to a particular retailer.

 

I feel the opposite way, the Dinobots get a pass because we don't know with absolute certainty what dinosaurs looked like. But the G1 Predacons and their brethren all look awkward and unappealing. Organic is the way to go.

Is it unpopular to say that I really don’t care at all if a Transformer is unlicensed? I liked Dino because he was a cool bot design, not because he was a Ferarri.
