I never liked the obnoxious archetype, but I think it's a fun little mold. Like it on Gears too.

I'd steer clear from deviantart if I were you.

I do agree, though, and would much rather they take the Gobots approach to female Transformers.

Might not be that unpopular, but I think the paint job on MP-44 is bland and boring as hell.

I might be on board for a $400+ MP OP if it had a show accurate transformation. Op was never a friggin shellformer.

Ooh. This. MP-44 explodes for Transformation, and thats part of the reason why I don’t like it. MP-10 gets the job done and it’s as simple as can be.

Also one of my problems with some g1 OCs (original or fan-characters), the ones that are just humans with grey skin and some square bits are already "robots", not even g1 in its lowest levels came to that laziness.

Unfortunely, even arcee was definitely made up with that mindset. (c'mon guys don't try to convince me that the g1 fembots are such easy designs to apply in toys, they're mostly human woman with square bits on them)

It's hard to sexualize a character when it already was like that. (it was more visible in JP HM)

The same goes for BW Blackarachnia (but i like her like that heh).

If I'm completely honest, and fits in with the unpopular opinion, ALL of the original mold Car Robots toys were overcomplicated fiddly pieces of garbage. Don't even get me STARTED on design choices like X-Brawn's fists, or having 5 points of articulation from the knees down on some molds. I'm kind of glad that THAT design mindset from BW died with that line.

Weathered effects on Siege aren't a big deal.

I don't care how tall Optimus Prime's smokestacks are, or if he has them at all. It's a bizarre thing for Geewunners to obsess with.

Megatron turning into a gun is stupid and never needs to come back.

Likewise, Soundwave turning into a tape deck is stupid and doesn't need to come back.

There will always be kibble. As long as it doesn't impede articulation or balance I'm fine with it.

    Ruination > Bruticus

You can probably tell I've been watching reviews again. Gotta pass time somehow

With you on Megatron. A tank just makes more sense for the character. Just because the toy that became G1 Megatron over 30 years ago was a gun we should not have to maintain that...

Soundwave should always be a cassette player though because of tradition....

Who you calling a hypocrite?!! :D

Studio Series Transformers look like they were originated from Saturn 3 concept art.

So how many times a day do you have to say "Geewunners" to meet your virtue signaling quota?

NO character should be beholden to a certain specific alt mode. If they made Hearts of Steel versions at retail, I'd not flip my lid.

I'll meet you half way, have Soundwave turn into a communications array with deployable hard drives that turn into laserbeak etc...

Also open to Megatron transforming into a turret station that other figures can actually man or some kind of artillery platform.

I use it when it applies, which is often around here.

Trukk not munky, raped my childhood, they were memes for a reason.

It's unreasonable for people to get worked up over smokestacks and kibble and to believe that everything has to be 100% G1 no matter what.

Also as a fan of G1, I feel it important to distinguish between a fan and a fanatic. I'm not virtue signalling, I'm being specific. Your the one running around using buzzwords.

When you use Geewunner excessively in every goddamned thread, yes you ARE the one using buzzwords.

I don't judge every MLP fan because 3% of them are clopsexuals, and I certainly don't use "clopper" as a term to cover ALL of them. That's EXACTLY what you're doing.

THAT is an intriguing idea. Upon reflection, I'm surprised there hasn't been a howitzer-ish alt mode for him at some point over the years.

It's tough because some characters are just so strongly associated with their alt modes; to the extent where it's almost an irreplaceable part of their identities. Would you accept a Grimlock, for instance, that turned into a plane instead of a T. rex? And yes, I know that he turned into a car in the Alternators line...
