High school was pretty good for me. There were moments of awfulness and awkwardness, sure, but I can only recall three off the top of my head (puberty notwithstanding.) Probably helped that I didn't interact with my fellow student much so they didn't get to realize what kind of autistic weirdo I was, and that I was buff by the second year (something that is admittedly no more.)

 

Well i mean im alive. I think it all depends on how you fit in with everyone.

 

Those people aren't your friends. None of you will care about each other after high school, and every high school relationship is doomed to fail(hopefully before marriage.) Nobody in that place who is popular is themselves, peer pressure makes sure of that. It's a valuable trait to have good social skills, but you'll find more genuine people among the groups of outcasts.

 

Or who has the best drug connections.

We can't all be intellectual badasses like @spartan 3764 some of us need to work.

I respectfully disagree on some of your points. Im myself and basically everyone is at least cool with me. But there is alot of fake people. As far as the friends go, there is a few that will last. I just think if your surrounding yourself with those that want the same in life as you you will remain friends

Everyone knew exactly what kind of Autistic weirdo I was. From my experience, people see Auties in three different ways:

1.) They see the Autie as a childish person, to be babied and treated like an idiot.

2.) They see the Autie as a silent threat, to be avoided at all costs.

3.) They see the Autie as an easy target and bully him/her.

At least that's how things ended up with me. Sorry to get OT. An unpopular opinion I have is that marriage (at least, big expensive ones) is a waste of time and money, you shouldn't need some flashy ceremony to express your love for your special someone.

The more popular something is the less likely I'm going to look into it. I'm not saying that just because something is mainstream it's bad, but more often then not it all seems the same. I prefer to take my time and discover things I can love myself. I'm the type of person advertising teams fear muhahahahaha!


But seriously I'm perfectly fine taking my time to find that special something that just ticks all the boxes, instead of watching and seeing whatever is popular and raving. That even includes fandoms as well.
