I really hate to say it, but this is offically the second of this year's Botcon exclusives (after Streetwise/star) that I just don't particularly care for. I think it's a combination of the fact that Scorch has always been the only Turbomaster that I don't like (all the others are awesome, in my opinion), and that I would've greatly prefered to see the Classics/Universe Hound mold used for either Swindle with a G2 paint job, or for Turbofire to go along with Rapido.

Oh well, since I'm extremely stoked for Rapido, Slicer (although Cybertron Downshift would've been a much more fun mold choice for him), Gnaw, and also Double Punch, if that's who the rumored Energon Scorponok repaint ends up being, I'll probably still buy him just to get the figure he comes with. But I suppose that's okay, 'cause it'll be fun having a SG Ravage toy.

Are you saying it should have been colored differently to be that?

Given the colors it does have, it's a perfect match for Scorch, and I do believe SG Hound has been visually depicted, he's like brown/black/purple, I forget exactly, but definitely not yellow.

Well, at least one option would be to bundle SG Ravage with the Slicer/SG Wheeljack toy we've seen elsewhere, and do an SG set while giving us another "G2: Redux-esque" character.

yeah turbo fire would of been the logical choice... saying that this looks like a bagged extra so their could be another for Turbo fire.

THIS...I've been hoping for Turbofire ever since we saw Rapido,,,I;m not NEARLY as stoked for Scorch...and I hate to say it...but Scorch and the rumored Double Punch REALLY go a lot longer into making me feel like it's a UK theme than a G2 theme...

It all depends on what defines "G2" to you.

It it G2 because it says so on the package or is it more about the style of the toy and the colors used? It is possible to include toys in the G2 line retroactively before Hasbro started using that moniker? Of course it is, if that's where they are a better fit. Technicly, we did it with the entire "G1" series!

For what it's worth, my Predators and Turbomasters have been packed away in the same box with my G2 toys for the past 10 years or so.

I do really like the looks of Scorch here, and I'm sure I'll love the toy if I get my hands on it, and I'm not complaining about Scorch, but yes... I did originally want Hound to be used for Turbofire, or Calcar, or Ironfist, or all 3. Make it 4 with Scorch even.

    SG Swindle!!!! Yesss....

    Bwahahahaha j/k

I actually read the entire thread. Just weird how some people could post something without reading. 100% of the time when I have a question regarding a news item I find the answer right there in the thread.

But yeah... Pretty cool toy. I might want this...

It's obviously Scorch due to the G2 theme, and SG Ravage is in there since Ravage was gangmolded with Hound.
