What's kind of cool about that Ravage is that he's in the same colors as Botcon Tigatron from several years back, which was itself a redeco of X-9 Ravage.

That would match last year pretty well, I think that's happening here. I still fully expect a larger SG souvenir toy to be announced, and seeing this recent run of exclusives with repaint heads (Scorch, SG Wheeljack, Gnaw) hopefully it'll be Galvatron. So far everything outside of the box set has been deluxe which is uncharacteristic, and judging by the success of last year's sets, I'm still expecting three packs of souvenir figures, two with a smaller and a larger toy as per usual, and the troop builder. Thinking about it, the troop builder was the only set last year that was outside the norm, and it did really well. They're poised to do it again with Gnaw, so I expect two larger exclusives are still left unseen, though I hope the final "G2" exclusive is something far more iconic of G2.

As for which will be the freebie, I still say Rapido. Thinking about it, all the items are produced in similar numbers no matter how they're released and in the end you know they make the money back on the freebie toy, so it isn't really free. By that logic, they could have any toy be the freebie. But traditionally it's a figure that's already being used that year elsewhere, so Rapido is still the best fit, since Gnaw is most likely a Troop Builder.

How on Earth are people thinking this is anything but Scorch? SUV + bright yellow + purplish gray + red windshield + flame deco = Scorch.

The Shattered Glass theme is wearing very thin on me. This years theme is G2, I think they should just stick with G2. There's some great material in that line to work with.

Who wouldn't to see a Classics mini-bot/Legends class Bumblebee decked out in yellow chrome?

G2 Redux will likely to show in in next years bagged exclusives too if it turns out to be popular enough.

Shattered Glass was popular and still is with club members. Besides, they had to repaint the Ravage into someone.

In fairness... it does get a bit blurry when you consider that some of those late G1/Europe only toys were repackaged in G2 boxes.
Although i think the Turbomasters and Predators themselves were not.

I admit, I do like the sets better that all of the figures had the same theme. 2006, 2007 (A3 can fit in with Classics technically), and 2008. 2005 was a hodgepodge of characters, and 2009 had leftovers from 2006 and 2007. 2010 already has a leftover from 2008... possibly more. Save the other characters as CLUB EXCLUSIVES instead of Botcon exclusives that have nothing to do with the current year's set... Just my opinion...

First thing that came to mind was swindle but guess not after looking at it closely. Very much Scorch and SG Ravage.

Isn't this simply SG Hound and Ravage? I dunno what color Hound is in SG, though, as I have never seen him.

If this is a Botcon toy, I wonder where he'll fit, considering we have seen pretty much all size classes.

I do not really think the robot mode would fit for a Classics Scorch (maybe with a little kitbash, such as adding Cybertron Downshift's head for example, or making it so that his chest is flat). As for Ravage, I really don't care for the SG Universe (other companies like DC or Marvel have done this so much better, then simply reversing the sides and the colors, frankly I have had ideas for a mirror universe myself for some time but nothing like this where everyone is a polar opposite of their G1 cartoon self). However, I do like Glit (he has a quite unusual bio and personality for a Decepticon, even if that bio is very much fan-made like the rest of the KISS-player casettes) so I might try to get the white Ravage in time.

Definitely interesting looking. Part of me is hoping this ends up as a Generations release, but I'll honestly be surprised if this isn't a Botcon figure. Here's hoping the mold gets repainted for Universe at some point (a similar deco to the Legends repaint would be nice, and would make for a nice Trailbreaker stand-in).

Guys, is anyone reading the thread before posting?

The bag says Botcon 2010, it features a previously known Shattered Glass character in Ravage, and the deco is obviously G1.5/2 Scorch, which fits the theme for the con.

Where's all the confusion coming from? :lol
