i hate mini cons, pretenders and small robots that turn into weapons. that is right around the time i stopped watching as a kid. give me the g1 robots and i am happy. :)  ... i mit add soundwaves minions are not the same as mini cons. i do like them, rav,buzz,lazer......and where is leader class starscream?

isn't this what we thought the Mini-Cons would do back in the speculation for Armada (particulary after the bogus report of what Sparkplug transformed into). I would love to see what Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Ratchet, Ironhide, Skywarp, Thundercracker look like in this line

Cool. New Transformers. But... WTF a Decepticon that turns into a rescue bush truck? I get the gimmick that he's a woodsman with a axe but... whatever Im buy it anyway. Cant wait for this line.

Wow, Mini-Cons again? I am cautiously optimistic. Armada and Energon toys looked like crap and had bad articulation because all the focus was on gimmicks. Hopefully this time Hasbro will give us their kiddy gimmicks without sacrificing the play value of the main figure itself.

looks interesting but if i had not seen the decepticon symbol my first thoughts would have been Inferno or Red Alert based on the alt mode. but it looks good at any rate i am liking what i see of this line so far

I'm starting to dig this line, I've always loved the thought of minicon target masters and all. I've even thought minicons should be able to do a range of things. Now they are finally getting useful. Awesome.

What? A Decepticon rescue vehicle ... really?

I'm very surprised by the choice.

The toy itself looks very nice, and the Mini-Con features promises something better from Armada's Mini-Cons (which is f**king great IMO)

So you were a kid between 1987 (small robots that turn into weapons) and 2002 (Mini-Cons)???

    :p

The Micromasters, Pretenders and "small robots that turn into weapons" are from G1 too. I guess this bears reposting:

Shortpacked! webcomic by David Willis -- Toys Are Serious Business

Where is the chicken/insect leg in these pics? I see pretty "normal" legs.

If it ain't broke, why fix it? Mini-cons apparently made money for Hasbro, so they keep bringing them back.

For all we know, that chicken leg may just be the photographer mistransforming the toy.

Personally, from this one grainy image I see more of a big boot with kneeguard, rather than a chicken leg.

It's hard to tell if the "chicken-leg" construct is just detailing on the inside of the legs, or if the red paneling behind it is just kibble on the outside of the chicken-legs. I guess we won't know until we get better pics.

BTW - has anyone else noticed that his name ends with "er"? Check the bio... We're only missing the length of a few words on the left-hand side... Looks like it reads:

"No one holds a grudge like ____er. He plots elaborate _____ against his hundreds of enemies, and thanks to his ____ combination with Chopster he's got the power to see ____ of them through."

The second joint looks more like a transformation joint than an articulation joint.

And it's too close to the foot to qualify as another 'knee'. At least IMO. :p
