While toy hunting today I found a two pack of (Universe) Cybertron Optimus and Crumplezone. It was overpriced but I put one on laybuy in anticipation of the big toy sales coming soon.

My question is, what other sets like this are out there? I did not know this set existed even though I consider myself pretty well informed. I have the Dirg + Roadbuster and Springer + Ratbat sets, but is that all there is? Also was this set an exclusive?

I really like some of the Cybertron molds and would be very happy if I could have the chance to buy another Primus at retail.

    Thanks for the info.

We never got that here (Australia). A year late is better than never. I just wonder if the store (Target) has been holding the stock since then in their warehouse or if Hasbro has tricked the buyers from Target into thinking this is a new movie tie in. Either way I like the Optimus.

As for the toy sale, Target (Australia) will have a big sale starting I think on the 23rd of July And Kmart about two weeks before that. I learned this lesson last year when I bought an MP04 for about A$200, then a few weeks later it was closer to A$100. This time I am using laybuy to hold the stock until the price drops, then buy and refund and re-buy.

So there is no sign of Primus being repackaged?

We never really got that 2 pack here in the U.S. either. It was super limited supply evidently. I could never find one myself, and they turned up on the auction sites for inflated prices and very small numbers.

Right now the only sellers are from out of country. I suspect they actually got canceled and the small amount of manufactured product got shipped elsewhere.

How much did you see them for?

Dammit, I saw a bunch of them here and didn't give it a second glance since I already had the toys. Same thing with Alt Swerve and Energon Ultra Magnus....I could be making bank right now :banghead:  :lol

    Ebay:
As I understand it, Costcos received EITHER a pallet of Animated ROC Prime or a pallet of the Universe 2-pack.

All the local ones here got RoC Prime.

It was A$129 but I will bet that it is about A$90 buy the time I actually pay for it.

Pretty neat find. I never saw that pack at retail.
