Depends. The universe one is less color accurate but less expensive. The Henkei one is presumably more accurate but will be substantially more expensive and may have bad chrome placement.

 

The Henkei version doesn't even have any photo's up yet.

 

Wait for pics of the Henkei version before you can even begin to think it over.

Huh. Both toys are the Universe version, just different lighting. The Henkei version will have chrome, just like Cheetor.

 

Exactly. There's no chrome on that dinobot. It's the universe one.

 

Wow, is it just me or newest Henkei won't be chromed? If yes, I'll get it in a heartbeat. But if chromed, eh, nevermind. -_-

 

Presumably Henkei will have more show-accurate colors (and chrome), but like others said, there's no (or at least no definitive) pictures yet of Henkei.

 

Henkei dinobot might actually sway me to buy my first import from this line. I will bite if either his sword is chrome or the gold on his bone armor or simply a more show accurate scheme

 

I'd easily go for Henkei, the hasbro dinobot looks decent, so if you cannot afford the Henkei, can settle with Hasbro. But if you're ok with the price, get the Henkei

 

It ALMOST makes me wish that Henkei Dinobot gets his entire dino face and tail chromed, or something like that, just to confound those who say "Henkei is better" sight unseen.  

 

I actually like the bold Hasbro move with the black deco, might get both seeing as the mould looks badass and Dinobot's one of my favourite bots.

 

Is there any reason to even acknowledge the Universe deco anymore? Or any previous incarnation of Dinobot, for that matter?

I noticed, and it's still a relevant topic. I'm keeping it open.

 

If it's still relevant, then, yeah Henkei. The darker colour scheme, the chrome sword, but more importantly, the blue parts on the face and armour!
When I first saw the Hasbro purple parts Dinobot, I knew it had to be Henkei.
