Ok, so I opened my Universe Cyclonus the day before yesterday and WOW.....just WOW. This guy is pure WIN. He is the best Universe/Classics mold since the Classics Seekers.

He is easily one of my top 5 favorite TFs of ALL TIME. I love this figure......GREAT freaking toy.

I'm hoping there's a chance for repaints of this mold. I could definitely see myself buying more of this mold in different color schemes........they same way I did with the Classics Seekers.

So what do you think of this guy? Is there any opportunities for repaints with this mold? Are you hoping for any repaints? Would you buy multiples of this figure?

Some cool original color schemes would be great.

 

The mold is pretty great, and I hope we get at least one repaint from it. It is really unique, but I can see a decent amount of repaints coming from it. I'm not a big fan of the whole Shattered Glass Universe thing, but this is one case where I would definitely be interested in a SG Cyclonus repaint. Though I personally would put some normal Decepticon logos on him and put him with the other Classics Decepticons. A blue and white version of the mold would make for an interesting Scourge. Yeah, it wouldn't entirely make sense, but it would be cool, imo.

 

I got him the other day and absolutely love him. The only drawback I see is the nose of the plane. I think they could have done something better but other than that. He's pure gold. I am planning on getting the Henkei version and maybe doing a repaint on the US version. All in all one of the best molds to date.

 

I'd like to see a repaint as BM Jetstorm. Light and dark blues, with some yellow accents on the wings.

Hell, you can even put his feet together to look more like him  

The head is way off of course, but I both modes work reasonably well.

 

I have been collecting everything from Gundam MG's to 2006 T.F. classic figures. I strongly agree with everyone.The creativity involved with the engineering of our Cyclonus is insane. Love this, Love this. I can't wait to get an extra one so I can create Unicrons unmentioned son. maybe dark blue with dark red details. I'm already buying paint.

 

A remold into Triggerhappy would be awesome. So would a remold into Jhiaxus.

 

And I wouldn't mind a repaint into and his armada, though I could see it just being a variant since the color schemes are so similar. With a name change on the package, it would be awesome.

 

i'd prefer a scourge first, but that is just me.

 

I just don't see how this figure could be repainted in any way that wouldn't make it come off looking like Cyclonus with a screwy paint job.

 

They could do a green and yellow scheme of "The Killing Jar" from season 3. That would be both screwy and relevant.

 

Barf..... I think this could indeed undo all the good this mold has done thus far...

Still haven't got this guy yet as I'm holding out for the Henkei and I feel like I'm gonna bust a nut.

 

Don't have this yet as they're not yet in my area (even though they've been reported in stores a half hour in each direction), but I've been wanting the guy since it was first mentioned. Still plan on getting a Universe and Henkei.

The thing, though, is that I don't think any other characters were made from this mold back in '86. Don't know if I'd buy a repaint, as for me, it would have to suit the character and G1 toy. But I might go for a Scourge, sure.

 

They should repaint it in white as Stampy.

 

A redeco into those could be neat. I'd rather see however, a nice Beast Machines homage...Jetstorm!

It would be fitting, since one of the BMac Jetstorms got turned into a Botcon Cyclonus a number of years ago.

Plus it gives the BMac era an entry into the 25th line. Which I wholeheartedly support: At least one entry for each line within the 25th toyline.

 

Didn't Hasbro say they were going to do some sort of "shadow" redeco? Or did I dream that?

 

When I first saw pics of Cyclonus I thought it was going to be a piece of cr@p. I was so wrong.

 

Give it a new head, change the primary color to black & rename it "Armada."



Then you could have Universe "Cyclonus & his Armada."
