    Agreed. That and I really like and undestand Bay's reasoning for not having him mostly red. I've worked with camera's (not the level they do, but still), and red is something that is hard to get to look good on camera. Especially something as shiny as a freshly polished semi.

    At the very least respect those who like it. You might not mean to come off like this, but you come off as saying your opinion as if it was fact.

    That you can blame on the safetly regulations here in the US combined with Hasbro not wanting to get any where near to violating one of them. We are actually lucky compared to Australia, who has it way worse than we do. I might have this wrong, as I can't remember all the details, but in certain parts of Australia they require you to have a gun license to own a toy that looks anything like a gun. That and like Locustreign has said (below this post), Classics 1.0 wasn't created with realistic alt-modes in mind, but more or less a more cartooney look.

    Classics = Classics 1.0
    Universe = Classics 2.0

    Ostensibly 2 different lines. Classics 1.0 wasn't created with the idea of realistic alt modes in mind - hence a neon green and purple plastic gun. When the movie toys were a massive success, they decided to continue the "realistic" theme into the Universe (ie Classics 2.0) toys.

    So when Migraine Megatron was designed, realism wasn't an issue.

    Yes we were on about the COLOURS, which is what it seemed this thread was on about to begin with.
    And me bringing up movie Prime was to illustrate that even Prime can benefit from a colour change. Like others have said G2 Prime is a black truck and grey robot, but you can still tell who it is because of his recognisable head.

    IMO colours aren't what makes a transformer look G1, its all in the headsculpt. Colours come second.

    I don't know, did you like my movie????

    Ooh yes, that would have worked too!

    Hehe no worries, I don't think you're being rude. It's just a discussion mate :)

    Anyway, why not just be thankful that:

    a) Hasbro are designing awesome toys that are recalling G1;
    b) Takara are repainting them for the people that want G1-accuracy;
    c) Classics is actually being made at all ;)

    The thing is, we don't make up the majority of Hasbro's TF sales. Basically Hasbro needs to consider what the kids will buy/want before what the fans will want. It may sound unfair to the fans, but Hasbro is a business, thus needing to make money, and will cater to the larger group of buyers first.

    Agreed. Honestly, I think that we're lucky that Optimus Prime and Megatron are still names associated with Transformers, let alone the many homages that we get thrown at us year after year.

    :confused2  ::music  ::music  ::music  :bay

    But why not have the choice for people who like the different versions? If you've got a Chinatown near you you should be laughing.

    Yet the kids you see are only a small percentage of all the kids that Hasbro is advertising and catering to. No offense, but you can't go off of a small percentage for something dealing with a company as large as Hasbro.

    From now on, this is what I'm calling that toy. It fits that horrendous color scheme perfectly.

    And Sideswipe, your posts are nearly incomprehensible. Please use spell-check and proper grammar. In case you haven't noticed, this isn't a chatroom. And on that note, please edit your previous post if you have something else to say and you haven't gotten a reply yet.
