I much prefer the mass retail version. More color, more accessories, lower pricing.

I am sure this is lovely looking, in-hand, but it just is not my cup of tea.

I though SS was to be in scale along the entire line...why its Sentinel much smaller than Megatron? 

 

It will suck if you are a completionist.

This figure has been released; it’s just that, when it is released, it goes exceptionally quickly, likely because the people who most often buy it are people like us who now how rare it is.

What I’m saying is, unless this isn’t produced/released in bigger numbers within the year, this could be among the hottest of hot Transformers commodities.

Man I hope that this mold is going be used for a fixed Variant of the SS- dotm Megatron

 

I have my doubts, zero have appeared on the secondary market. I'm sure the guy you spoke with isn't up to date on TF exclusives and whoever he asked may have been thinking of the DOTM voyager mold that was previously available in their stores.

 

That DOTM mold went away years ago, though. I have faith in them knowing what’s what, especially when I make it abundantly clear what I’m looking for: “I’m looking for this mold [I have the Studio Series DOTM Megatron in my hands] but it’s painted to look like the meet-and-greet outside and it’s got a Universal sticker on it. Same size box.”

 

The average person can't tell 2 different Transformers apart. Also, how was it realeased? Haven't the parks been shut down for the last few months?

 

They have, but this figure has supposedly been released pre-pandemic and has been snatched up mighty quickly. Why else would Hasbro release photos of the toy if they didn’t plan to put it out shortly thereafter?

Hey, maybe I’m full of hot air. Maybe PvP having a copy of this toy means this’ll be out at the parks in bigger numbers and the Team Members working were confused.

I dunno. To this day you can still get the original Evac toy and the exclusive Kreon sets that were all released when the ride first came out and I remember people panicking about them back in the day. Give it time and I'm sure they'll be stocking plenty.

 

Definitely like the more uniformed color scheme. May buy one if I am around Orlando for conference/vacation, funds available, and once pandemic and travel situation improves.
Agree that he will probably be $70-80 for Leader class when I was last there in early March. Most of the store merchandise stuff was at least 2x price of retail.
If you have time to kill while in the park, sometimes they allow attendees to see previews of Universal Studio TV shows for about an hour and they give you a discount card to use in the park store. Though, I doubt they will continue that perk with park budgets being in the red this year.

 

At least in Orlando, Evac is no longer sold. The space where he might normally be is where other figures or items sit now.

The Kre-O set has been amended to include a generic “N.E.S.T. Sentry” robot Kreon in place of Evac.

 

Is that so? What an odd decision... especially given that the ride still features Evac.
