I thought it was supposed to be metallic redeco. If not, then I don’t see the point. It’s like TR Megatron that was rendered in metallic paints, but the toy was this awful looking light gray all throughout.

The point is that it's coloured as the giant Megatron mascot that you can take photos with at Universal Studios. It's not supposed to be a premium metallic deco or anything.

Honestly, I think he looks better than the regular movie accurate color scheme. If they still have him when I go to Orlando, I might pick him up. Although, with everything going on in the US right now, I might put off visiting the States for a while longer.

I’d argue the figure looks just as good as it did in the render. The silver and gun metal gray on the head look insanely good.

However, given that it’s going to have that theme park price of about $60, I’d much rather go buy a new video game. The figure looks awesome, but I think the only way they could’ve made it worth that theme park price, for me, was by taking that extra step towards accuracy and getting rid of the shotgun and having a lobster claw fusion cannon that can attach to the left arm. A missed opportunity if you ask me.

I may be in the minority on this, but I was so dissapointed in the regular SS Megatron. To me, a Leader-Class figure should have some heft to it. This figure felt like I was holding a feather due to the hollowness of it.

Be prepared: last time I went to Universal they had TR Leaders for $80; this guy's likely to be the same price, maybe even more because of the price increase since I was last there.

Adding some weathering effects and rust to him will probably make it even more accurate than the original one. I mean, that original one had a very light plastic color and the weathering effects were just gradients.

Damn, he looks good. I\'m happy with the faded rustjob on the original tho.

I love this. We finally have a toy of the greatest incarnation of Megatron in Transformers history, Universal Studios meet-and-greet Megatron. Knowing that Hasbro acknowledges what a treasure he is gives me hope for humanity.

If only he had voice clips to burn us with his greatest weapon, his sardonic witticisms...

No offense to anyone who has ever posted a link to his videos, and not saying they shouldn't also get one, but why does PrimeVsPrime himself, who is an active user on these boards, never receive a news credit for his own content? He just gets a quick call out in the body of the post.

Anyway, back on topic, I do like the color scheme, but the lack of accessories and the exorbitant price that Universal would charge for this make me pass. Maybe if I'm in the parks (whenever that is!) and I see it, I'll make an impulse, but hopefully he's available enough for those who want him.
