Was he ridiculously overpriced at Universal Studios? I’d assume so.

 

I'm glad that this guy is still showing up places! I got him off of Pulse in December last year, great figure the colors are great and everything fits together better than the original version.

It continues to blow my mind that people get excited about this figure that has a less movie accurate deco, AND entirely excludes his cloth just to save a penny. That cloth covering his face on his original figure was the only thing that made him look decent IMO. 

 

Hhmm I probably in the minority of people that like this color more than the original.

I would have gone for this if it had the cloak.

 

On the one hand, it's DotM Megs in basically 2007/RotF/AoE silver, which while totally inaccurate to DotM, it IS accurate to the attraction at Universal Studios, and looks pretty cool. On the other hand, they nixed the tarp, AND upped the price (from $50 to $53, though that's in line with the price hikes on Deluxes & Voyagers), AND the SS34 DotM Megs mold wasn't great to begin with. That's a no from me. If my wife would've had any interest at all in Decepticons, maybe she could get it (she's an ardent Bumblebee & fembot fan), but otherwise, nope...I'm good with SS44.

I saw one at my local Gamestop the other day and had no idea it was the the Universal version until I double checked lol

 

I'm in SC and I saw this just the other day at Gamestop. Funny thing is, they were at Target over a year ago then quickly disappeared and now they're reappearing. Must be overstock from the Universal Theme Parks making it's way to standard retail I'm thinking.

This---^ I like this color scheme better and not because it has anything to do with Universal Studios. It's still this character to me and I'd buy it simply because it looks better.

 

I got mine from Robotkingdom a long time ago and has the Universal Studios sticker on it.
