what was the availability of this guy? was he a online exclusive? he sports Henkei Chrome but is listed as United, I need to know the origin of this toy!!
It was an Asian Exclusive, though most of the online sites such as TFSource, BBTS, etc., had it available.
Yup, it wasn't hard to get, but it was expensive initially as an Asian import (no Japanese retailers had it, so no taking advantage of the exchange rate then). I think at least a few retailers ended up discounting it at some point. I missed when it disappeared from online retailers, but I'm pretty sure it hung around for a while.
