saw this review from DAmazing and figured it needs a thread. I’m loving the design here (think I know the designer, but I can’t remember his name), if this is as well made as Toy Notch’s Astrobots, we’re in for a treat. Anyways, there doesn’t seem to be any announcement news yet or release dates, but hopefully we’ll get more info soon.
Looks fun! I dig that there are so many figures out there these days incorporating hyper articulation into the design. When I was a kid, just about everything was 5POA. What a world we live in now.
Reminds me of Kotobukiya's Frame Arms basic skeletons, and it's neat articulation but not my thing aesthetically.
https://showzstore.com/toy-notch-as...s-field-repairable-soldier-type-01_p2276.html Up for preorder on ShowZ. I would have been in on this because it looks neat, until I saw the price. $75 for a sub 6 inch figure with a single accessory? Seriously? Before tax and shipping?
This needs a price reduction or a second pass, some poorly fitting parts both too loose and too tight, like the head which doesn’t like staying on at all, or the armor on the back of the hands, which also like to fall off, At the opposite end, stuff like the wrist joint are scary tight and feel like they are gonna shear from rotation, a lot of very noticeable marks from where they were cut off the sprue, stress marks, shit like this just huge chunk left on the blade made it very difficult to remove, and bent the hell out of the plastic like I want to like this line, and these issues are mostly fixable On my end, but After the Astrobots I expected a bit more So I’m hoping they can fix these issues in the future, or make me not care as much by dropping the price also sloppy paint apps on mine, but the other stuff bothers me much more just noticed the hips are offset front to back, not a fan of that
