No ROTB stuff at Forbidden Planet Newcastle, but N.E.S.T. Ratchet was there and I ended up picking him up. Velocitron stuff was also there, and yes, they were discounted. Was nice to see MP Primal and 2 of the MPG Trainbots as well.

Is this a first UK retail sighting of SS-96? @Black Convoy

Whole bunch of new stuff in Smyths St. Helens this morning! Legacy Evolution Crosscut and Shrapnel, and the first ROTB figures too (I saw Battletrap, Cheetor, Bumblebee and Airazor.) Also a couple of Earthspark 1-steps.

RoTB Studio Series stuff is up on Smyth's website.

Interesting to see Bee & Battletrap are priced higher than Airazor & Cheetor by a few quid.

Smyths also have a listing up for the studio series WFC Optimus Prime. Says he’s expected in May, however no other figures from that wave are listed (WFC Bumblebee, Barricade or 86 Snarl)

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that one!

They had a listing up for RoTB Scourge weeks before the other new movie stuff, so I imagine the WFC Deluxes will appear in time.

I reckon (but could be wrong) that's the licensing for the car brands maybe? But there's so many variables to international retail, it could just be the prices of cases varied between the two? (I don't know if it's one of each in a case, or cases of one/ two figures.) But yeah, first thought is licensing.

This is to any and all, I’m headed to London today for a wedding, looking for any TF spots that are worth the visit!
    Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks

There really aren't that many sadly, forbidden planet is worth a look and seems to have decent stock these days.
Then there's the big toyshops, Hamleys and the top floor of Selfridges and that's about it really.
There's Orbital Comics too near Leicester Square but I think people have said they don't really do toys anymore, still worth a visit.
Also if you like tabletop/board games there's a little shop near forbidden planet called Orc's Nest. And Dark Sphere which is much bigger but not near anything else of interest.

Those are all the best places I know but I haven't been to London in ages.

I'm sorry to say Orbital Comics closed in 2021 @Fort Max – but you're right it was a great spot. Picked up a few Takara imports there.

Forbidden Planet is probably best in central London, but apparently there is a Game store inside Sports Direct on Oxford St. Not been there, but maybe it has some of the recent bargain stock?

Ugh, didn't know it had actually closed, that is sad to hear.
Reading that takes me back though, I remember when they were in that basement property and you had to go down some very steep stairs. They sold lots of toys and merch back then. :(

@Fort Max is that the one Tottenham Court Road or before that on Old Compton Street? I might have served you there if it was the Old Compton Street premises. I helped with the move to Tottenham Court Road (that was either a Christmas Eve or a New Year’s Eve, basically a day to minimise loss of trading) but left shortly after the move.

Orbital comics don’t have any TF figs anymore to the best of my knowledge unfortunately. I picked up some gems from there including my MP10 EVA edition.

it’s really only forbidden planet as Hamelys had f all last time I was there as well as a horrendous mark up the time before.

willing to bet Selfridges has nothing as well.

Smyths Wallsend today! Was expecting Bee and Airazor, but I won't complain. Also, they only had Crashbar, and not the other deluxes for some reason.

Smyths now have a listing for the WFC bumblebee as well. Still no mention of Legacy Skyquake, anyone spotted him or know if we’re getting him at retail at all?
