Really tired of this. Generations keeping doing these line-wide play pattern gimmicks that Hasbro UK keeps undercutting by dropping key product. What's the point of Earthrise's unifying gimmick being "Micromaster bases" if Hasbro UK then won't sell us the actual Micromasters?

Not to defend Hasbro but this is the reality of a MegaCorporation doing it's thing, what's likely happening here is that the Micromaster pricepoint is not attracting buyers, particularly high street vendors, to stock 'em so Hasbro will just abandon that hunting ground like the shark it is. Shark's gonna eat or keep moving until it gets to eat again.

Maybe the battle/micro masters are just too small to get noticed in the big toy shops. :/

There's no way to tell if any of their shops still have shockwave as he has been removed from their site.

Lets be honest, it was the g1/g2 era of micromasters and pretenders that was the death of the franchise in the UK and EU first time round. Once bitten twice shy I suspect on these. If they are struggling to gain traction and shelf space then......

Neither argos nor supermarkets are stocking anything beyond rescue bots / cyberverse any more. This leaves The Entertainer, Smyths (from hasbro eu not uk) and Toymaster independents really, then the odd discounter. Beales/Debenhams gone. Amazon pulls stock from wherever.

Smyths has never had the Micromasters size. I can't recall if they touched the last few waves of Legends.

I think Smyths have also skipped the Battlemasters, and the Prime & Titanmasters before that.

Nope, I think TRU was the only brick and mortar to stock legends scale.

Bang on, Phil, IIRC Smyths haven't bothered with Legends since CW. Hasbro really seem to have a struggle with the "Pocket Money" toy bracket in the era of £2 to £5 Whatever the next "Fidget Spinner" is and/or 5POA CORPS-alike action figures like Jurassic Clash, etc. and/or other novelty bits like Poopeez, Shopkins, etc. (that the BotBots have their sights on).
The Entertainer also picked 'em up but often so late in release I wondered if they were getting 'em discounted or grey market.

Ah yes that’s true. I never really think of The Entertainer after they bugged out of MK.

Toymasters have regularly stocked Legends - and the Micro & Battlemasters.

.... now this is tickling a memory some years back. IIRC we discovered which wholesaler was doing which class size and who was buying from which wholesaler which largely explained why certain chains had certain class sizes.

That Entertainer in the MK shopping centre was the first one I went in in 1994(?) Some decent older stock IIRC inc Chinese Constructicons - stuck in my mind as it was the only place I saw them outside Woolworths and some years later

Toymasters are technically affiliated indies aren't they, rather than a chain like TRU was or Smyths & The Entertainer are?
It does seem to generally be Indie Toy Retailers that got 'em in, like good old, well, new-ish Games & Cards UK getting the Off-Roaders in before the US!

Certainly seems to be the case with my local Toybarnhaus, they have several locations but Toymaster are like the suppliers of their product? I don't know the terminology.

I really hope they're doing ok...

Yeah I was gutted when they left. Then TRU folded and all we have is Smyths. Sigh.

Exhaust already out of stock, but Greasepit still in. Let's hope one of the other companies has them in too, doesn't look like an ID exclusive.

I asked ID if Greasepit was UK Exclusive to them, and they replied, "Not an exclusive." so keep 'em peeled on your other UK Etailers.
