    Ebay:
The Cheap Chinese Legends on eBay are fakes/KOs

TR Legends on ebay from China: fakes?

I've got a Seaspray, with two right thighs and the quality is just slightly off. Friends report missing and/or loose limbs, bad paint jobs and inferior detailing. Plus the trading cards are all wrong.

They aren't bad as KOs go but they aren't quite up to scratch and aren't the real thing. Brawn's a tenner in TRU at the moment isn't he?

    Ebay:
Ye i got brawn a few weeks ago and something felt off. Some joints were loose but others were really tight. An the card had brawns artwork on the front but kickbacks techspecs on the back.

I though maybe it was just a faulty batch this bloke was selling, now i think otherwise.

My two local tescos have tiny turbos and TLK legends. Never seen anything good in there for at least a year.

I've bought 3 of the ebay ones, Brawn, Seaspray and Shrapnel and all 3 are superb. If they are a KO you would NEVER know plus the cards are bang on. I know lots of others who have bought them and said the same. I don't think there is an inherent lower quality, I think its just variation on individual figures like with the normal retail ones. Similar to how there is the whole better QC on Takara stuff urban myth when its simply not true if anyone does he actual research.

Yeah, hold some of those horses. This was Brawn bought from Orbital (Always legit Hasbro Asia stock)......

    image.jpeg

So legit, straight out of the packet it had two right thighs PLUS all the so-called mold detail "changes" that the Loudest voice in that thread claims makes it a KO. So did Orbital get hookey-stock from their distributor too?

    Not impossible, but very unlikely.

The Brawn I picked up from a Chinese EBay seller (before they all went fucking rogue!) was perfect in every demonstrable way, as was the Seaspray I got with him. Cards and card backs included.

I have another Brawn I picked up in our Asda in High Wycombe ........no difference at all, including all the batch numbers etc. With the above.

Just because that ONE POSTER is all over social media shouting "fake!" And insulting Kit T to a degree I still can't believe is allowed on this site I'm not inclined to accept that these things got KOed, released and sent round the world BEFORE Hasbro managed it just like that - because even in the World of anythings-possible that would be unprecedented.

Plus: it depends from what listing you buy from as to what Legend you're getting, one dude is selling them in huge numbers loose, another couple are selling them packaged. All Fakes? From the volume alone I really doubt it. Factory seconds, card-misprints (front and back mispressings happen quite a lot and are "seconds" too) I find far easier to believe considering the time scales.

One way or the other considering the one I paid the most for is the one with the defect I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss them as a good purchase option until a bit more than HETELLUS from one very vocal source says so.

Oh, and if you actually have a TRU that isn't choked with Legends 1 and 3 and actually has Brawn He's £13 and not a tenner. That's £3 up on why many did the eBay route.

And by the by, Leader Class Movie Optimus and Megatron were in the Colliers Wood TRU at £65 yesterday..........are they fucking mad? If you're desperate for one I would imagine they are both still there at that price.

The legends on ebay as KO's is still up in the air. One I looked at did say that it was a CLONE version in the description, so seems like the KOs are a thing.

One TR Topspin (£18:99) into Smyths Cribbs Causeway, assume the others haven't been put out yet due to the one peg they are using being inhabited with Highbrow, Scourge and Hot Rod. Also a few more TLK Leader Prime's and Megatron's, doesn't look like they've sold one as yet unless someone can correct me....?

I mean I suspect the Brawn I ordered from China bay was a factory error version.

I say this because I noticed the grill has been molded incorrectly. And the reason I say a factory error rather than a straight up Knock off is because he still has the Hasbro logo on the inside of his cockpit typically knockoffs don't have that.

mines the same, also one of the wheels on his shoulder is loose, due to only having two of the three mushroom peg segments fully formed.

I think I threw the card away so I don't remember.

But everything else you described is the same as mine.
