Agreed. I'm happy with my SDCC Metroplex chromed face/head. The little gun turrets are nice, at least.

 

So the lights are still useable then, cool, I'm pretty much sold on this now.

 

It's interesting, I'll give it that. But I kinda like the existing head. I need to see final colour pics to make up my mind.

 

I don't even have a Metroplex yet and I'm getting excited for this already. Hope it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

 

That's true but I'm not the biggest fan of the current face design anyway so it would kind of be like killing two birds with one stone   (assuming you have the Hasbro version and don't really like the stock face either)

 

I never understood people's fascination with chrome. It looks out of place on so many figures that use it and looks worse than silver if there is leftover plastic flashing on it. Nothing really wrong with this upgrade, just doesnt seem that needed. Id rather buy the metroplex gun that is being made.

I think if they remove those unusually placed red lines atop their Metro head it'd look much nicer. The kinda just look like oddly placed red stickers. Don't see a reason for them.

 

That's probably part of the light piping.

 

yea, piecing them out would not do it for me. I'd like a nice box with this set to mixt with my Metroplex. If this is the box art, that would look great as well.

I highly doubt that they are going to use the cover of an official IDW Spotlight comic as their box art. This art was just posted to show exactly what their reference material was.

 

Seems like the head is much flatter in base mode. Not sure how they pulled that off, but I think it looks nice!
