I finally gotten my Sharpclaw today
Awesome bro, congrats. Looks likening is held up somewhere so won't be today for me. Great pics though, and how do you like the finished figure?
Sadly BBTS has sat on mine since Friday and hasn't shipped him yet. Right now, its still in Wharehouse status.
Mines still in the mail on its way 7 to 8 more days.
Just got mine and I am sooo glad I stuck with this - very impressed and I think he may take the spot for my favorite tformer in my collection.
I got mine on Saturday. Mine didn't have as many quality control issues as those first reported by TC, but the loose rotation joints on the legs do substantially hinder the pose-ability of the combined mode. I've applied some very thin layers of nail polish and worked them in there, and it helps a little.
The combined mode is what always stood out to me about this set, and it does not fail to impress. I was never overly thrilled with the individual bots, but it really is a stunning display Predaking. He's as big as Herc and the MASSIVE wings add quite a bit of bulk (and back weight, but it's a good trade off). Overall, a real nice effort by UT, and easily the best Predaking of the three for my tastes.
Awesome guys, glad to hear nobody was let down by the end result.
I should be able to order my complete set next week. (I hope)
Woot! Mine has now Shipped from BBTS! I might actualy get it before the end of the year!
Congrats, good to hear buddy!
I bailed on this set long ago. Sold Warhawk. I loved the simplicity of the sculpts but the shiny/ko plastic and lack of paint really bring down the quality.
Rampages face is unpainted.
Doing something about that as we speak. Got mine in today, adding a few things and will post a pic in a few minutes.
We'll I had a look at the wings and I also though they were a little plain so I added some gold trim and black lining. Only thing I don't like on mine is the hips. Unfortunately like Uranos, my warlord has loose hips. Don't know if everyone is like that but mine is. Don't know if the same fix for Uranos would work for warlord but I'll figure it out. Anyways here is the wings.
Here's the third part of that review series on Sharp Claw.
Focusing the individual figure:

And here are the first two parts, focosing on the Gestalt mode (they were posted before, just putting them all together):

Unique Toys Warlord (not Predaking) Transformers Toy Review - Part 2
The transformation has some surprisingly interesting touches for what looks like a simple figure...
Until I finish making a proper light box for pics this is it. But I'm glad to have him finished. Hopefully the rest of you finish soon.
Nice. Wish the issues I have with this guy weren't so egregious. The overall simplicity speaks to me, but again they cheaped out on materials and paint. So close.
It's like a bad relationship, there are things that you like, but you know it's just not working out.
Well owning the complete set, I feel what your saying. The set overall is good, the gestalt. Individual bots are ok. But your right about the paint, I added alot of stuff to make it look like I wanted it to. And not just for my preference, I added stuff cuz it seemed lacking. Other than adding my own details so the set doesn't look so plain and bland and the hips, it's good. My UT guys will kill me for saying but at the price of everything for this, would I recommend this to anyone, no. It could have used so more work. But like you said, feelings are torn because the end result is kick ass and that's what I bought it for. In the end I'm happy with the purchase and glad I supported a new company. Looking forward to future UT stuff and hope they continue to raise all the quality and expectations.
Does Rampage look as shiny in person as he does in pics? The red plastic in particular looks bad. He looks really cheap in photos. Especially the unpainted face with gold eyes, feels authentically KO.
