Tf direct states that no head and stand for $140.
So what makes showz jack up $20 ? High demanding or something fishy?

I messaged them through their site to ask if I had made it into the first batch (I had gotten a payment notice end of last week for him.)

Just got an email from showz that my order has been shipped :D
And for anyone wondering if they are in the first 100 I would say probably because I ordered mine on December 24. (And payd full) so I think there weren't many orders maybe?

Don't feel to bad, these are not going to be moving anywhere during the holiday. Shipping company went on vacation starting Friday (according to ShowZ's site) so nothing is moving across the country till after the holiday. While our stuff is packed and tracking applied, it ain't going anywhere just yet :)

I wonder if this was the right decision by UT to release him right before CNY…
As for the display bases, I was told by Terry that UT supplied the quantity for the Dragoon pre-orders only.
Those who ordered the second batch of Challenger will have to wait a while longer for their bonus display base.

Eh, supposedly a lot of people use the CNY shutdown as an opportunity to leave and find new jobs, and there's a high turnover rate because of this. Don't know how common it is in toy production, but it seems in many recent years, a lot of factories try to churn out a large supply of orders just before CNY, not only to help profit margins over the shutdown, but because of the loss of workers who don't return, creating numerous unwanted delays once everything starts back up. At least if they can get a first batch wave out before CNY, it helps satisfy the earlier orders, but helps drive up demand, allowing them to raise funds to more easily hire on more works to continue production on later batch releases. This is somewhat speculative though, and based more on rumor and word of mouth than actual business plan outlines.

I guess it would take more resources / money to train the new workers every year instead of keeping the old experienced ones by paying them more for their loyalty. Am I right?

I dunno, really. I figure by American standards, it's easier to work the same employee to the grave and pay all the overtime needed rather than risk paying anything to train a new employee to do the job with the possibility they may not stay at it. Can't say if that's a common practice in China, or it really extends into manufacturing jobs overall.
