The classic tfw2005 Holy Scale Chart debates we all so looooove devolve into Patchwork Kindaholybutnot Scale Chart debates when the movies enter the equation.

Have any of the videos that have been posted measured his height? I wish he was slightly smaller so he'd fit in on my megatron shelf...but I really need to know if he'll fit ON my megatron shelf.

No, but the concept rendering officially released by Paramount is:

And also, the creator of the scale charts, Tunakaan, who is a board member here, did an immense amount of research for his scale charts, with input from others on the boards. They're about as close to official as they can be.

Was in, but due to scale, I'm out.

What the fuck is up with everything being oversized? Cripes.

Looks like they are making it to scale with Toyworld's as they know that people are going to buy that as a replacement for their Challenger.

You're right, who'd ever buy Challenger in the first place?

Nah that's definitely not the reason, Challenger is a great figure that a lot of people love, they'd never purposely make their figure scale with a rival company. If I had to guess, Unique Toys probably thought that the height difference between Movie 5 OP and Megs was about the same as it was in the first 3 movies. That, or they were using certain scenes from the movie instead of the scale charts

That doesn't seem very likely to me. Why would they want their figure to scale with someone elses product? Wouldn't it be in their best interest to let their figures scale with one another so people will buy both?

Then again, as I have stated in the past, UT doesn't seem to care about scale, as very few of their figures actually scale with one another.

And people seem to be very divided on Challenger and Orion so there's another reason as to why i don't think this is the case.

Some people arn't going to buy the figure and just keep complaining about the scale regardless. It's kinda sad, like, why not just look for something else?

Personally I think he looks stunning, like a badass Megatron. It can't release soon enough.

Do you not think that people who complain about this figure don’t appreciate certain parts of the figure? They don’t want just a good representation of megatron as a stand alone piece, they also want to put it side by side by an optimus made by the same company for the same line of toys, but the disparity between the sizes of the two figure is too drastic for a lot of people

That aside I know the annoying feeling of thinking a figure looks amazing but constantly gets a lot of repetitive criticism, so maybe we should dial the negativity towards the height, sculpt and paint back a bit

I grabbed BMB Ares Nitrogen and I like him even if he's just a cheap and basic OSKO of the SS toy. Though he may turn out to be way too small for the gigantic UT Meg.

I can appreciate that, people usually complain because they care about something and want it to be better. I get some people are disappointed by the height difference.

But when It's the same people complaining all the time about the scale it's kinda baffling to me. Especially when TW have shown 50 thousands teasers of movie bots they have planned, with a Megatron or two among them.

But they're just that. Teasers. TW has produced hardly anything except pictures that could be from a coloring book.

And it really just doesn't make sense to make it so large, either.

......apart from TW Prime and the numerous images of their upcoming Shatter?

    It is what it is.
