Sure, but I for one believe that the figures should improve over the years rather than stagnate :)  and the companies should set the bar higher and higher. I'm fine with replacing any older figures with their superior contrcandidates.

I've been seeing a surprising amount of hate/ dislike towards this guy ever since the more recent pictures came out, but I don't see any major changes between the initial reveal pictures and the more recent ones. He definitely has "prettier" and more flattering angles and poses, and they definitely made sure to focus on thhose for the initial pictures (using darker backgrounds helped too), but I can't identity anything that they actually physically changed on him since his initial reveal. Aside from lack of sculpted detail and paint app, what are the main gripes about this guy exactly?

he looks really good. not super accurate to the movie design, but IMO he looks better than the actual movie design. haha. that being said, i'm sure that will bother people. does he scale OK with challenger? i know megs is always bigger in bayverse.....just wanna see how much.

    Amen to that....
    The wait is killing!

Considering this guy can't cheat on the transformation unlike the CGI model, I'm okay with the compromises to accommodate real world physics.

I still think he looks good and he'll be an amazing addition to my MPM shelf!

Honestly, I think the new pics just highlight how much detail this guy is lacking.

Hmm I don't think I am liking how thin this guy is. The first pictures made him look a lot beefier than he actually is

Hopefully he looks better in hand

Yeah I think that's it. And the fact that we still thought that this is just the work in progress.

I genuinely think people's views on this design have been informed by the Voyager figure, which is much stockier than the film model.

The only nitpicks I have are the lack of detail (which isn't even that bad, and I'd prefer over over-detailing) and the possibility that he's too big the feasibly fit in my collection how I'd like.

Given the fact that we never really saw Megatron "transform" up close, his alt dimensions are guesswork at best, and the fact that this can even pull a cohesive, humanoid kibble-free bot mode...is a legendary feat of engineering in my opinion.

He may not have the bulk I wanted but I'll sacrifice that for articulation. If he was bulkier but had less fluid articulation I would've passed on him. I can't wait! (I'm also dying to put Driller together)

This thing just blows me away everytime, I've never seen the movie and I'm excited to buy it.

I haven't been legit excited for anything in 3rd party for some time and this thing is just so fuckin cool.

This pose right here is all I need.

The giant worm machine from DOTM that was always with Shockwave.

Unique Toys is adding a collectible display base with Dragoon and from Challenger that can supposedly combine to create him or a likeness of him.
